My boyfriend and I went to look at a jeep and the pictures he sent of it was it was a VERY clean looking jeep. He asked if there was any problems with they said no. We get there to look at it and instant red flags going off. NOT inspected, engine light was on, leaking radiator fluid, missing a fan, etc the list goes on. He denied knowing anything was wrong with it. We drove from Pittsburgh so a 4 hour drive for nothing. My boyfriend said it’s nothing but buying a car for cheap and doing a tiny bit of work to it and selling it. If you do go here go with a MECHANIC or someone who knows A LOT about vehicle and knows to nit pick through to find hidden problems being covered up.

Honest, reliable and dependable are words I would use to describe Mr. Lookenbill. I can't thank him and the guys at his garage enough for the work they did on my car. Nearly 6 months ago, you saved me from spending hundreds of extra dollars on unnecessary repairs. Thank you.

Had our fuel pump replaced and a month later it stop working where we had to get it towed would highly not recommend avoid at all cost they are over prices and will give you nothing but trouble to when you tell them about something that happened. After we picked it up the car broke down yet again because the fuel pump popped off and I had yo put it back on myself

I guess it was Ed Lookenbill Jr. I worked with buying a 2001 Mercedes Benz C320 from his lot and he seemed to be an okay guy.The car ran fantastic on the test drive as he stated "Runs Fantastic"in the ad which he states in nearly every vehicle ad.During the title and tag transfer Miller's Insurance and Notary was suspicious of Lookenbill's selling a car valued at $7,600 for $2,900 and said don't be surprised if problems develop which did happen as it blew the head gasket driving from Hanover to Gettysburg .Estimate on the repair for the car is $2,400 in labor alone not including parts and towing.I phoned Lookenbill's Auto Sales after getting home that it blew the head gasket and the remote control to operate the radio wasn't provided with the sale but just got his answering machine I left a message and contacted him by Facebook Messenger also and no response from either one.**Beware of cash and carry as is no warranty clause dealerships like Lookenbill's Auto Sales as they most likely don't test drive the vehicles or inspect the condition instead they buy and flip.I'll never take my business to Lookenbill's Auto Sales for buying or servicing a vehicle.

This is the absolute worst place anyone can go for a car. All of there cars are junk. It looks like a miniature salvage yard. I went to look at a 2001 dodge caravan and the engine sounded like it was going to explode, rattling and grinding like crazy, plus the hood was broken offreleasew was broken

A little hidden place with a great owner: Ed is the most reasonable and honest mechanic I ever met: I wanted things done to my car and he told me it was not necessary, that the car would run the same even if I spent more money in it: where do you find that?Ed has a sense a service and customer satisfaction that is rare in this industry. I give him 2 big thumbs up and all my business including for my motorcycles!

I have been reading down the comments, I am a fellow car dealer myself. I have had the chance to talk with the gentlemen who owns and runs the place. As I understand it, its a 1 man show. When it comes to used cars usually we don't have time to look over everything which in turns means we can miss stuff, I have 2 people or so that work for me and we also miss stuff. However when we sell a car we do go over everything and make sure it is road ready before the buyer picks up the vehicle. It does help us if u tell us what u find wrong on ur test drive. Please be reasonable when making a complaint here. Also, used cars are not new, sometimes they are in perfect working condition and never come back to he shop. Other times something can go wrong with the vehicle that isn't our fault after the sale. Some shops do indeed try and pull a fast one but if u have had the car for a lengthy amount of time and then something goes wrong I doubt the place u purchased it is at fault. Please do not bad mouth a used car dealer for that. Yay rant over \○/.

Had a great experience here on 11/23/19. Took my car in to York County Choppers who sublet the inspection to Lookenbill's. At first I was a little confused and irritated by this turn of events. Once I got to Lookenbill's the painful situation was immediately remedied. He was fast, courteous and helpful. I did have a fog light bulb out and had to have it replaced, which I quickly did and they got me right back in and inspected without issue.
