I didn't actually get any work done here because they were booked way out, and the owner also made a very poor first impression upon me. I wanted to get a very well maintained car I inherited from a family member inspected. I also wanted to get some parts I bought installed, nothing crazy, just shocks and spark plugs. I went in, in person, with the car to make an appointment. The woman in the office was very nice, and we started making the appointment when the owner, who was just hanging out in the office, suddenly and loudly proclaimed not to buy any parts before he looked at it because it could need "thousands of dollars of work just to pass inspection" his exact words. The woman and I just looked at each other, and she gave me an "I'm sorry" kind of look. I took my car to Marks Automotive on West Chestnut St. instead, and it passed inspection no problem, and I got my parts installed. First impressions are important.

My boyfriend and I had been looking for a locally owned mechanic we could go to for inspections and maintenance. I booked both of our inspections and emissions with K and J; it was easy and I didn’t need to wait long for an appointment. Both the inspections fees and minor repairs were fairly priced. Megan was very friendly and communicated everything with us via text, which was convenient and appreciated. Overall great experience and we will definitely continue to use them in the future!

Spoke with Troy Jr who was selling his personal car through dad at KJ Auto. Quick and easy experience. Minor damage not seen in photos but nothing concerning!

If you have a foreign car, don't even waste your time calling. If you need a real mechanic that can work on cars and diagnose real problems, I would highly recommend looking else where. As soon as they found out I had a Jaguar they refused service. If you know anything about Jaguar you know it's a fairly easy vehicle to work on, and should be easy to work on for ant competent mechanic! I hate to leave a bad review, but you should be aware of the level of mechanic you are looking to hire before you send your car to them. Vehicles are an investment, and I would personally avoid this place if possible!
