Previously adopted 2 other cats there a few years before covid hit. I wanted to adopt another one recently and went down to meet the cats. Now they dont allow you to see all of the cats at once, you have to make an appt for a meet and greet due to staff shortages. Ok thats fine - I filled out an app, and several weeks later, no message or anything. Ended up adopting one elsewhere that took care of me in just a few days. I know they are short handed but how hard is it to reply to an email or something. Ive had similar experiences with other shelters and they sit there and wonder why they can get these animals to a good home. Staff is nice enough but they need to fix their broken system so that these animals can get a good home!

I called yesterday to inquire about getting my dog fixed anf I had to leave a message. They returned my call almost immediately. Although unfortunately they can't take my dog this time of the year (the lady explained in detail the reason why), I was graciously given alternative businesses that could fix my pup at "affordable prices*. That said, the representative went above and beyond to give me the information I sought. Well done, guys!!

This "humane society" took my dog and wouldn't give him back. My dog went missing and this shelter found him. I told them via phone call that I would come get him but they claim they adopted him out before I could make it back out to the shelter. They have a habit of not answering their phones and often times their doors are locked so speaking to anyone is a struggle. They caused several of my posts on facebook, searching for my dog, to be removed with the claims I abandoned him and I was banned from these lost pet groups. It seems like is someone at the shelter liked my dog and didn't want me to give him back to me so THEY could keep him. There is active communication on my end at the time he was found, I didn't fill out the surrender form for him to be adopted out, I said I would come get him. But they adopted him out anyway without my approval. His microchip is still registered to me. It's suspicious how much they're preventing me from reuniting with my dog and quick to claim I abandoned him despite my efforts in trying to get him back.

THEY STEAL LOST PETS!! This shelter only cares about money not for the wellness of the animals! They are selfish charge outrageous fees for a lost animal, place animals into adoption programs without owner's consent, preventing the owners from retrieving their pets, are quick to claim abandonment, and convince lost and found pages to take down posts any time owners try to reunite with their beloved pet. If you get an animal from here MAKE SURE SOMEONE ISN'T LOOKING FOR THEM! You might have someone's lost pet!

Most horrible experience I've ever had dealing with people that work with animals. As I'm reading postage on the entrance door and employee with glasses addresses me in a very rude and unprofessional manner no greeting whatsoever. Very rude and abrupt and also dismissive. I was made to feel unwanted at that door

I'm sure they love the animals but they make it next to impossible to visit them to find one you bond with. You can only apply online and that's before you can even visit. They don't answer the phone. We adopted elsewhere.

Just wish they had the Clinic Times back! Covid is OVER...time to get back to the essential care our pets had before the devastating effects of Covid! We need to BOUNCE back like a red rubber ball and get back to the place our pups love and need so much! ❤

What county humane society requires an appointment to view homeless dogs? Is appointment only for the unwanted animals or to make it easy for the humans? The goal is to give unwanted animals a forever home? Drive an hour and then be told appointment only. Maybe you should change the mission statement ... make it as complicated as possible to require people to purchase dogs from puppy mills.

This is a wonderful place! I knew the late Jan Dillon, also I knew Cathy Bricker. I believe that was Cathy's lady name. Both ladies were/are pure class & understanding when it comes to animals. Definitely two ladies you want on your side!

This is the best place, I adopted my doggo here and she's been the most perfect baby I could ever imagine. She was a puppy, she's now 12! I also support their wonderful family fund raising event each Halloween "the whisker walk" at twin lakes park.

First time adopting here and it was a great experience. I loved that we could do the application online and they did the interview by phone. They called us back promptly. Everybody was friendly and efficient and our puppy was in great health and used to being around people so I know they had been spending time with him. Other than a hard time finding the right door to get in, lol, it was a perfect experience!
