Worst place to use for needy families .We had half of our voucher furniture stolen from the place by the person who wrote our vouchers and when we finally get a new place . Go to get vouchers because we never got half of our first ones and the lady who sits in the office says " well it says it was picked up and this is a one time thing " even though we wouldn't have a person writing us vouchers if we didn't recieve half of our vouchers in the first place .Lady was rude , didn't care , and most definitely wasn't looking to help . Wouldn't recommend anyone to this shop .

I found the staff to be wonderful, especially the regulars. They helped me with holding and buying a beautiful table for my son who just moved into an apartment.

Cute place, would recommend! See a lot of reviews confused on what non-profit means. It means that the people that are working there, plus the owner, doesn’t get any profit from the money earned. It all goes back into keeping the business running and charity. ^^

For the most part Christian Laymen was not a bad place to go, but the lady that checked me out after I was finished was ignorant and kept telling me that well your at 30$ as if I didn't have the $ to pay for what I was paying for. I also had 2 vouchers one for mattresses and one for clothes for my 2 boys and myself. I did not get her name but I would recognize her anywhere. There was no reason for her to be rude or ignorant to me. That is a place that helps people who can't afford to go other places to get what they need and I was told they would have brand new mattresses for my boys for their new beds well they take used donated beds and spray them. They did have brand new mattresses but I think I will try to find them else where cause that lady really upset me and made me feel like I was worthless. For a full size and a twin mattress would come to a little over 300$ for those. I am really upset with that lady and I was nice and she kept telling me that something I picked out was supposed to be more then the tag that was on it so like that was my fault. I didn't put it there and I found it with the makeup bags. Needless to say I probably won't be going back for a long time and if I do I will let someone know that I will not be made to feel like I'm worthless because I'm not the only person who has shopped at Christian Laymen and there's people with $ that go in there as well. If you can't be nice and treat people with dignity and respect cause they may be going through a rough time then don't work in customer service especially when it's to help those who need help.

Aren't you a non profit organization? They offer their moving truck. The cost is $95 to cover its use. Their workers in which are two of them. Expect to be paid by you. I know these are volunteers but when they what you to pay $150 for their time. To me, exorting money from people who are struggling. Without any thought to the people they are so helping.. not good business

Crowded aisles because there is tons of clothes. More women's clothes than men's or kids. Houseware Area is c crowded too.

Love going in to Christian Laymen! - Love how they help our Greensburg community! - Recently found amazing deal on my 2nd set of china. :) It's Noritake and so pretty! Fun shopping experience!

The prices are offensive. Selling cheap Walmart appliances for more than Walmart, sets of china for hundreds of dollars. Despite what eBay might tell you these things are worth, you need to charge prices commensurate to the economically depressed area where you are located and the low income population you purporte to serve. Less of a "Christian" store and more "money changers in the temple." I know they claim to have expenses that require these prices but that is an issue with the way they run the store given that all of their inventory is donated and all of the workers are volunteer.

Prices were great and they have a huge selection. It is a little cramped so I wouldn't take a wheelchair or a stroller in there. Big furniture selection. Cash only

A lot of good stuff, price is reasonable. Sometimes you get lucky and find something really really nice for only a fraction of the price! No more hints. God bless us all!!!!
