I have been a customer of Greencastle Chevrolet for a few years now. The collision center did an awesome job repairing my bumper from a hit and run at Valley Mall. They gave me a 2024 equinox for a loaner.. Not bad since I drive an SS Camaro daily..

This review is for their collision center: take your business elsewhere if you value honesty and customer service.TLDR: Good luck with these people! Hopefully not all their staff are as dishonest and unpleasant as the one I dealt with, but I'll never give them my business again. If you go through DC, check out Hyattsville Auto Body Repair instead. They did excellent work when I was rear-ended in the city, and went above and beyond to clean the car when they were done.Back to Blaise: I had side mirror replaced from a minor fender bender and decided to have a missing wheel cover replaced while it was in the shop. They turned around the work quickly, and agreed over email that they could indeed replace a wheel cover for my (older, but certainly important to me) Honda. The total bill was over $250, $75 of which was the wheel cover.Unfortunately, when I received the vehicle back, they did not in fact replace the wheel cover to match what we'd agreed upon via emailed photos. Nor did they inform me before charging my credit card for the different part. Looking at other reviews, it seems this less-than-forthcoming style of business may not be limited to their collision center.Of course I noticed it immediately, and reached out to the service manager, thinking it would be fair to ask them to split the difference on just the wheel cover since they'd already taken the time to install it. They claimed it was not their fault and rudely remarked that "$75 is a lot for a wheel cover, this isn't even worth the trouble." I couldn't agree more, especially when it's the *wrong* wheel cover. What's more, they blamed Honda for the part that *Blaise* ordered and failed to verify was correct before installing. However they had no trouble charging me full price for their oversight. The lack of transparency is frustrating, but the chippy defensive attitude when I caught their mistake made me feel lucky to learn my lesson about this business for a relatively minor cost.As someone who's worked in customer service myself, I understand that mistakes happen. However, the lack of responsibility and frankly shady way this was handled is really too bad when it's so easy to do better. Teenagers at McDonalds give better customer service. In the end I spent 20 minutes on the phone being haggled with by their staff to begrudgingly refund me $25 of the $75. I guess that's $1.25/minute so clear your calendar if you need to untangle a bigger mishap. Making sure work is correct and informing the customer proactively when one misses the mark might seem a lot like the duties of a service manager, but at Blaise Alexander Collision it's apparently not. And if you don't get what you paid for, it's not their fault--it's yours. For noticing. Based on my interactions with their staff I fully expect an arrogant retort to this review. Let's see if they prove me wrong.

Had my VW in for body work after a pretty nasty scrape by another vehicle. They did an excellent job matching the paint and reshaping the rear bumper to be flush with the tire well. The job was done on-time and on-budget. An external piece of the car was damaged while under repairs, but they took responsibility and made it right. Great service and the staff is top notch.Services: Painting

I had my vehicle in the shop to repair hale damage. It was a contracted service provider. When I was called to pick up my vehicle I noticed a part missing from the back seat hanger and a piece of foam laying on the drivers floor carpet and the cover of the drivers post not properly clipped in place. I showed the findings to the shop representative and said he would keep in touch with me after he contacts the contracted service provider. I have been the one calling back to the Shop and requesting for an update and how to fix the problem. Apparently the shop ordered the part missing and I have to call back next week for a possible schedule for repair for both findings. My Insurance company is already aware of the situation and will keep them posted of any outcome. The hale damage came out great. No more visible damages

I called about a truck they had advertised on internet. I made them an offer and they wanted $7000 more than my offer. No big deal but in the middle of negotiating I watch the internet price increase $2000. They actually changed the internet price as we were speaking!!!! If they have the audacity to do this then what else will they do to rip you off?

I had a wonderful experience at this shop yesterday. The manager, Tim, was very helpful and friendly. The service was reasonably priced and the job was done faster than expected. They even let me borrow a loaner car for the two hour job. I would recommend them to anyone who needs body work.Service: Body & Trim

Ms. Darby was INCREDIBLY thorough and informative in assisting me to locate my vehicle. I would highly recommend her as a valuable resource for information concerning any needs that customers may require. If she doesn't know, she knows who does know. Awesome service!!!

I was on a long road trip and heard a really loud grinding noise coming from my left rear tire area. A family member recommended this place and I am glad they did. The manager Jay was awesome. He diagnosed the minor issue and had it fixed in just a few minutes. He did not even charge me. The shop is clean, bright and inviting. I will be sure to come back here for any major problems when I am in the area.Service: Body & Trim

BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a nearly brand new (2019) Chevrolet Blazer with less than 10,000 miles from this dealership back in July 2021. Since then, we have had nothing but ISSUES with the car AND the dealership. First time it broke down was exactly one week after purchase. The car was throwing multiple codes and the dashboard was lit up. After being in the possession of a GM dealer mechanic for nearly 4 weeks it was determined that they needed to replace the "motorized module" in the steering column. Mind you, this was after 4 SOLID WEEKS of being unable to diagnose the exact cause of the cars issues. When the car was returned to us it ran okay for two weeks following. But then, once again, the car began presenting issues. This time the sunroof made a loud popping noise and completely exploded off the track, the dashboard once again lit up, codes were being thrown, we lost COMPLETE POWER to the vehicle backing out of our own driveway and this dealership had to TOW the vehicle to their lot and bring a loaner to us so we wouldn't be without a vehicle entirely. As you can imagine this has been an extremely overwhelming and exhausting experience. The car dealership claimed that the loss of power was due to the main wiring harness shorting out and they "fixed" it. They returned the vehicle to us once again and then IMMEDIATELY the next day we attempted to drive it and ONCE AGAIN the code lights were lit up all over the dashboard and we lost power after turning it on. We once again drove to this dealership and gave them this car to be repaired. It has now been 2 MORE WEEKS and they are claiming they can't get the car to duplicate the issues we've experienced and they don't know what else to do for us. It was even mentioned the possibility of GM purchasing the vehicle back from the dealership because it's clearly a lemon. I have now made two phone calls to the general managers AND left messages with no return phone calls or response. I am absolutely disgusted with this dealership and the way they have handled this situation. We did nothing to deserve this and we are now going to make our story known to the public because we don't want anyone else to have to suffer like we have due to the poor customer service and POOR business practices of this dealership. I even spoke to a woman at GM customer service corporate care and they opened a case number for me and recommend to the dealership that they buy the car back from us as it was clearly a lemon. We need a vehicle because I suffer chronic illness and take frequent trips to doctors and hospitals down the road. This is unacceptable and unfair. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!!!!!!!
