“I was having an awful day. Got new to me tires on the car two days ago, had a flat the same day when I left the job at 10 at night. Came back the next day and put one of the old ones on. Then today I sat in jury selection for 9 hours, for a Whopping $9. I had a vet appointment at 5:30 and was told I would be out way before I had to be. Well I got let out finally an hour before I had to be there and had just enough time to get back to the house and to the vet. I was already stressed out and complaining. Then another one of my tires blew out on 81, and the donut was seized fast even with half a can of WD40. State trooper pulled up and basically said it needed to be towed cause I was in the median. I was beyond angry, then Steve Porrini pulled up and was one of the kindest people I ever met. He towed me home for less than 1/3 of what the trooper said it would cost. But it wasn't even about the money, I was fed up and was feeling utterly defeated, and he showed me the kindness and compassion I really needed in that moment. Turned my whole day around. “We were traveling from Vermont to Alabama and tire pressure notification came on, we stopped to put air in tire and realized it had a nail. I asked the lady in the store if there was someone local that could repair and she ( Sandy?) sent us to Malakan Motors. They got right on it and repaired the tire….FREE!!
