These folks have moved heaven and earth to help us when we needed them. I've been with them for a few years now. And wile i'm certainly not medically qualified to comment on their abilities. I am very happy with the results, the service and the care.

The vet and the tech didn't even touch my dog. Is there some kind of breed fear going on in this place? They were focused solely on one condition and not actually doing a physical exam. I was concerned about her back legs, and they didn't even check them. I felt we were being judged because we disagreed with one of the recommendations that the vet made, and then she was just in a hurry to get out of the room. Wasted visit and money! The best part of the visit was the greeting when we arrived and the check-out process.

First time taking my senior cat to this vet. It turned to be very good. They thoroughly checked him out and explained everything to us well. Prices weren't too bad. Kinda what you would expect.

I don't usually write reviews. But in this case, I really feel I need to. This place sucks. My wife and I have been together for over 25 years and have always had dogs in the house. We've also rescued several dogs. In that time, we've taken our pets to, Willow Mill, Valley Green, and the vet on Limekiln Rd. All great vets. When my son dropped off his two dogs a few months ago, I decided to take a chance on these people. Huge mistake. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and uncaring. They gave me 3 different estimates for the same dental cleaning. They gave me instructions over the phone for his cleaning, which I wrote down as they gave them to me. They then E-mailed my wife instructions. Totally different. When I took the other dog there to get her shots updated, I asked if they could trim her nails. They took her out and when she returned, her foot was bleeding. They had cut her back way too far. I could have given a crackhead $20 for those results. Our pets are family, and if you care about yours, take them elsewhere. I only gave them 1 star because they won't let you give them zero.

I love this place. We had a bunch of scary weeks with my sweet kitten at the Emergency center and we were so impressed with the staff and treatment that now that she is a year old, she is now a patient at their healthcare center as her normal vet. VERY prompt care , I have almost never had to wait for any type of treatment. I messed up and missed my morning appointment and they fit me into the afternoon with no issue and were understanding of my mistake. my cat loves it here! she doesn’t stress and is friendly to the staff, they even remembered her from her treatment as a baby? they truly CARE for your animal, not just treat them. they saved my sweet Pearl (twice) and i’m so glad to have them as her vet now!

This “DOCTOR” is a joke. We took my dog to Newberrytown Animal Health Care Center when he started having seizures. The Vet decided to put him on medication to help stop the seizures. They made “zero” attempts to figure out why he began having seizures.
As I can read and care about my animals I figured out that he was having blood sugar issues. So I call the vet and they said it would be $30ish dollars for them to test his glucose levels. Welp, I left there with a $170 bill.
The fact is they did absolutely nothing to figure out what was going on with my dog. Charged me an astronomical price. Then I call today to get his prescription refilled and they again want to check his glucose levels just more $$$$$.
This practice is a joke over priced and all the care about is the bottom dollar.
Please do yourself a favor and choose a different vet!

We started taking our dog to Newberry Animal Health in 2021 after we moved to the area. From the very first appointment I wasn’t a fan but we gave them multiple tries because they were only a couple miles from our house. We have a German Shepherd who is a people lover and has never shown aggression. At nearly every appointment we’ve had the vets barely want to touch him and jump right to muzzling him right away despite the fact that he shows zero signs of aggression during the appts. Every appointment I’ve left annoyed with the lack of interaction with our dog. His last appointment, which was last fall, was the worst and we agreed to never go back. At his last appointment, which was for a rabies shot and to have his ear looked at because it was pink and swollen looking - the vet we had wouldn’t even touch our dog. He started to look at his ear and when my dog moved his head the vet gave up and ended up sending us home with four different medications, ear cleaner, and ear drops and I was told to just give him all this medicine and try to clean his ear out myself and hopefully whatever it is will go away. Our dog was on this medicine cocktail for one day and we stopped giving him the meds after because he could barely move and had really bad urine inconsistence. This vet also told us next time we bring him in to start giving him trazadone and gabapentin the day before to the day of his appointments so the can touch him without reaction. The gabapentin is what caused his urine incontinence and the amounts of medicine the vet wanted us to give him for appointments would have made us have to carry our 85 pound dog in. After this last bad experience we finally just decided to drive further to Dover Veterinary and wow what a difference. We had a phenomenal experience at Dover, the vet actually interacted with our dog and to no one’s surprise was able to give our dog a full exam and three shots without every taking him out of the room or muzzling him. He acted the same way he always has at vet appointments but the vets at Dover didn’t automatically jumped to acting scared of him and actually took care of him. As for Newberry they once again dropped the ball when I was switching my dog to Dover. I called for a copy of his medical records four times and was told they were back with the vet and once they looked over them and signed off they would send them right over to me. Well it’s been 2 months and I still haven’t seen those records. Save yourself and your dog and just don’t go here.

Charged me over $200 for an emergency bladder infection. Last patient, no dr avail. Said they'd call back with test results. Didn't. I called them numerous times. Had to go elsewhere to retest my dog and give her meds. They called and apologized weeks later but would not refund my appointment money. Only refunded my cans of dog food. If they had refunded my money, I may have given them another chance. One of the front desk clerks is very nice and cares about dogs and their owners. The star is for her.

Second review I’m writing because the first one was taken down. But I have had yet another one star experience with Newberry animal healthcare center. From the lack of knowledge and unprofessionalism from the staff to the lack of organization and incorrect information, please if u care about your animal don’t take them here

Nice and friendly place. The folks are helpful with question. The only problem is prices. They do seem to be a little higher than other vet centers.

We took our cat to this vet December 27th and they told us she would be giving birth in 3 weeks. It is February 25 and she just now gave birth. I thought there was something wrong with my cat since she hasn’t given birth for over 3 weeks so i took her to the Newberry animal hospital about 3 days ago. I spent $300 in total for the visit and they told me in the x ray they saw 2 healthy kittens. My cat gave birth to 4 kittens this morning.

The vet was very nice and took time to actually talk and listen to the problem.
