“Hastings is the FIRST PLACE I go for commonly needed items -electrical, plumbing, bird food and feeders, household cleansers, or nuts, bolts and pull chain lamp sockets. Everyone in there offers to help you find what you need. The gentleman in electrical department found a new cane tip for me, used brute strength to pull the worn one off and applied the new! What’s not to love about Hastings!!”

“A little tight backing in to dock from street but not that bad with a 48ft spread axle plus I can dump the air out of my rear axle for tighter turning radius. Whse guys are really nice and efficient. The lady who runs the place is really nice also. All and all nice & friendly people to deliver too.”

So far, I have shopped in this store one time. I joined their membership program, which allowed me to choose one inexpensive product for free. I purchased a few other products. Their prices were low to moderate, compared to other home-improvement stores’ prices. The cashier quickly and accurately rang up my purchase.”

“On March 7, 2023, I visited my local Busy Beaver store in Castle Shannon. I should say here that I have never had a bad experience in this store. The representatives have always been helpful, friendly, and professional.On March 7, my cashier was Meegan and she asked if I would need help loading the 4 bags of potting soil I bought on sale. I said, "No, I'd be fine," thanked her and left. When I backed up my car to the stack of potting soil, there was Meegan standing there waving at me. She joked, "I don't listen well" and helped me load the bags in the car. I thanked her and tried to give her a lottery ticket which she declined.Please tell her how much I appreciated her attitude and help.Mike”

This Home Depot in particular is the exception, I am always treated with respect, and I always receive the quality help and care I need when shopping for all sorts of products. The other stores in the area are so bad that I've gone in, sought help or specific products, and I leave to come to this Home Depot each time, the only one that's worthy.”

“I love busy beaver stores and this is very nice to have in Lawrenceville. They sell anything you may need even if it's not the biggest of their stores. A bonus is that it's rarely too busy. It's also one of the few places where I always find salt in winter when all the other stores around are out.The staff is hit or miss. I have met very good employees and probably a couple that were very slow and dragged out the check out too long. Overall a great place if you don't feel like going to the bigger stores like Home Depot and Lowe's.”

“Small business owner myself, I had an emergency with a float valve for an important piece of equipment. The owner make a quick fix for my current part for a temporary fix while I wait for a new one to come in. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and jump right into problem solving. Thanks to his efforts, last minute, about 30 minutes before his shop closed, I am able to run my business through the weekend. If you want something done right, and done with care. This is the place to go. Also, the art sculptures made out of faucet parts were adorable.”

I was happy with their willingness to work with the smaller quantity of hardware that I needed. Other stores (Lowes, HD, Rolliers) that I would have thought would be able to help were very rigid and wouldn't help me out but these guys were interested in getting me what I needed fast.”

“I had the pleasure of playing in the Wexford ACE Hardware golf outing last year. The family owned Wexford ACE could not have done more to benefit the Children's Miracle Network of Children's Hospitals! Hosting the golf outing was one thing but their generosity that day with donations from the store was incredible! I have never seen better raffle prizes and auction items! I also learned that they have a program called "Operation Brown Bear" that distributes stuffed bears to Children's Hospitals all over the nation. I was surprised to learn that this is a Wexford ACE initiative! I understand they were honored by the ACE hardware corporation at their annual meeting for their generosity. I'm proud of the Wexford ACE family and I will be coming into town to play in the upcoming Wexford outing on July 22nd 2024..... I cant wait! Bravo Wexford ACE!!”

“I was shocked to find this hardware store “inside” the Giant Eagle grocery store! If you weren’t from the area and didn’t know any better, it would be very understandable that you drove past it because there’s only 1 sign that is visible to tell people it’s there and it’s not in the best location!”
