If I wanted to go to a busy store with only 1 checkout lane, I'd go to Walmart.

This is a great store, convenient to Hampton Shaler and Gibsonia as well as Etna. It's also kept very clean and very well staffed.
I also love the fact that there's an Ace Hardware in the store itself, so if you have an emergency fix that you need to do you can get hardware and tools while you shop for groceries.
My only dislike of this location is that it is no longer a 24-hour store thanks to the stupid Covid-19 outbreak.

Scooters for disabled customers are terrible. Not enough cashiers. I am not scanning my own merchandise. Prices are high. No offer to help me to car to unload my groceries. Cashier's are nice minus the young girl with the wild hair. She needs to say hello and thank you.

this is already my least favorite location, but then when i have to go you have 27 check out lanes but only 2 open with a cashier. all the self check out is closed. get real. no one wants to deal with a cashier anymore. so unpleasant

Self checkouts never seem to work correctly with it consistently getting "clogged" and requiring a manager. Aisles are full of huge carts from online shopping and the staff won't get out of your way to access items. Deli no longer cuts certain meats to order. Most coupons now require their app which means letting them sell your shopping data.

There's not much to say. It's a giant eagle. Self check out was closed for some reason. Only 2 employees working registers later in the day. Pharmacy is fast and efficient. Drive thru is easy.

Waited for 15 mins to get deli meat , second in line , three people behind counter . Waited 30 mins in the line at the register , three lanes open . Staff literally just walking around like zombies . It’s a Monday afternoon . Gibsonia blows this one out of the water .

I love using the pharmacy at this Glenshaw GE location. The staff is very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm new to this location and am grateful.

Giant Eagle is very similar to any grocery store. It has the normal foods and items you would find in any grocery store. You can buy beer and wine at this Giant Eagle. The selection of bottled beer is decent but not overly interesting or rare. I do not know much about wine so I am not equipped to judge the selection. The store does have beer taps and the selection is usually fairly interesting.
The overall selection of foods is good. The bakery is very good and I have gotten very good bread from here. The deli selection doesn't have anything beyond the normal selection but does cover all the essentials. Their international selection is okay and has some interesting items.
I have two complaints about the store. The first complaint is how often they move items within the store. While I feel this happens at any store and understand why stores do this, it is very frustrating. I do all the shopping for my family, and I am almost constantly frustrated when I can't find something I am looking for. Sometimes the item has been moved to different aisle. The second complaint I have is the organization of the store. It doesn't make a lot of sense. For example, before Giant Eagle re-organized the store all of their international items were in one aisle. After the re-organization, one aisle has Italian and Asian items and another has everything else. The two aisles are next each other but why split them.

Old, loud, beat up carts. Only store in the country that doesn't have baskets. Always out of distilled water and other things. Lottery machines aren't on in the am.
