I give this company 2 out of 5 stars because the person at the order desk was kinda nice & mildly informative. The place was clean, but even though I'd asked for just the front brakes to be looked at and to give me a price for work to be done for that, I did get a text from them that took me to an email that showed me 20 other things they found over and above just what I'd asked them for. That's the one reason l hate Jiffy Lube, because they take extra time looking for other things instead of changing my oil to maybe charge me even more to do extra work and a lot of the time fane with tons of explanation of why what they found should be fixed NOW. STOP! Just do the service l asked you to do and nothing more. If l knew Cain & Sons Automotive a little more and trusted them and their concern for me, l might have had them fix issues they found, but for now don't give me a laundry list. Then, when l actually go in to find what the price would be for just the front brakes to be changed I feel the price qupted was way too much. Later, l called my regular garage (whom l didn't go to first because they are so booked that they couldn't see me right away - maybe two weeks) and asked them how much they'd charge for the front brake change, even looking at options or lower grades to help me save money and l got a quote that was $150.00 lower than Cains. But the kicker that got me with Cains the most is after l turned the service work down, there they still CHARGED me $90.00 for just a brake inspection. WHAT? I paid it, after a sticker shock. I couldn't believe it. Noone else that l've ever dealt with has ever requested such a greedy act towards me like that and it made my mind up NEVER to ever under any circumstances go to Cains & Sons Automotive for anything EVER AGAIN. I will also even go out of my way NOT to recommend them. That was a thieving act from them during these hard times we're having (and I'm retired). So good bye and good riddance to a greedy overrated garage. Go out and overcharge other poor and needy folk. Oh, and please stop sending your garbage cards flyers to my house, too.

First time here. Great service. I will be taking my other vehicles here for state inspection and other services.

The service on my truck was done quickly and efficiently. Folks were polite. What I really appreciate is that when an issue was found, an alternative fix was used, which was quality but not the most expensive option. Much appreciated!

I was very disappointed with the work (or lack there of). Cain and Sons advertise having an expert staff and services including front end alignment, suspension work, etc. My car is a custom build but the front suspension is not complicated so I was shocked to learn they only completed a simple toe alignment and left the camber and caster as they were. Receiving a bill in excess of $400 was the real topper.
Update. Subsequent to my initial post, Mr Cain contacted me and provided a full explanation of what had occurred. Although the limited service and high cost were the product of his service writer (at that time), Mr Cain took full responsibility. He did not try to make excuses or rationalize what had occurred. As a remedy, he provided a refund of the excess charges with no strings attached. I was impressed with Mr Cain’s handling of the matter and felt this update was genuinely warranted. Additionally, I will be scheduling an appointment with him to complete the alignment of my car and am confident it will be a more positive experience.

I heard they do good work more on pricey side but i was at a bad place and needed some work done on my car (ball joint).
They “diagnosed”, other issues like a deployed airbag iam planning on doing myself along with the seatbelt which they didn’t find. But also a axel leak and a rubber boot around the suspension was rotted out. Because of this they deemed it a total. Which as someone who does estimates i would never total something on what was found in the report.. They refused to do any work but charged me 100$ for the diagnosis they did.

Revised 8-6, 5 stars to 3 stars.
I used the online scheduling to schedule an appointment today for an oil change. Apparently the appt failed to record, which has been the case 2 of the 3 times I've used the system. Not a big deal, I can phone in appointments. But I came in for my oil change, essentially a walk-in since the appt was not recorded, and the young guy at the desk was accommodating at first (although when I asked for an oil change he heard oil change, rear diff fluid change, and tire rotation...the Jiffy Lube upsell, again, not a big deal, I corrected him). When I told him I was waiting in the shop (a checkbox option on the online scheduler), it became apparent that the business was not expecting me. I told the man at the counter that it seems that the online scheduler has failed and that it wasn't the first time. Not wanting to be the surprise walk-in on what was likely an already busy schedule, I said, "No problem, I don't want to mess up the schedule. I'll just run down to the drive through oil change and catch you next time."
The guy at the counter (one I had not seen before) became agitated with me and said I was "presumptuous!" The only thing I presumed was that my walking in for an oil change was a surprise, and now i presumed he was annoyed. He repeated the name calling as I walked out the door, with a little more fervor, and oddly, with a smile and insisting that he was trying to accommodate me. I didn't need to be accommodated, I made an appointment. I didn't need condescending name calling. Unprofessional at best.
Anyway, all of my previous interactions at this business have been exemplary, and maybe this guy was an anomaly who maybe shouldn't be the face of the business?? I still recommend them. Everyone has a bad day after all.
I went home and made an online appt at Ciocca Honda for tomorrow, surprisingly $4 less than Cain & Sons ($107 vs $111). I really thought the dealer would be more costly! Hopefully there will be no name calling there ?.

Took my car there to have it diagnosed/ repaired for stalling @ idle. Informed them that ignition switch was going bad but will start. I was told the initial level 1 diagnostics would be around $85 which I accepted. The next day I get a $1500 estimate of items (that I’m already aware of) on the car that need fixed, none of which I took the car there for. Following day I called to check on it and they say it’s done. I asked what the problem was and they say they did not diagnose or fix the stalling issue because they could not start the car. Said they needed to fix ignition first. I asked how the car was on a lift in a picture they took of a tire. I was informed they pushed it. I didn’t bother asking why the story changed twice on wether it started or not, how the odometer turned over, or how they heard an exhaust leak on a car that “couldn’t start”… I paid them, the car started, and I drove off into the sunset.
I didn’t bring my car to you to look at the battery hold down, loose coolant jug, burned out bulb, or bad ignition switch. I’m not going to waste money on all those items if the car won’t stay running at idle.

Todd and team have been taking care of the needs of all 3 of our cars for about 5 years now. They have fit us in on short notice when needed. They do an excellent job diagnosing and repairing issues when they arise and truly stand behind their work. It’s great to have a shop that is honest and reasonably priced.
