It is very disappointing as to the inflexibility of the shop...I bought a coat 35 days ago. The sale price is now 30% off. I want to keep the coat, but want the difference in sale price. I had been considering a new snowboard, bindings and boots however with the call center being so rigid I will no longer consider the Ski Bum for future purchases.

I went to the Ski Bum in Glen Mills, prior to my trip, to have my skis tuned. Conditions ranged from ice in the morning to sticky snow in the afternoon. The tune was perfect. Sharp edges for the icy morning and good glide in the afternoon. I will be back for some new boots.

The inflexibility of the management over the phone on refunding the price difference on a coat that I want to keep but purchased 35 days ago is truly disappointing. Having given thought to purchasing a new snowboard, bindings and boots I will not purchase through the Ski Bum. The coat was marked down 30% from 35 days ago. This is poor public relations. ***In reply to Duane: your semantics of new/used is being used far to liberally...I only ask for the difference...the sku/bar code does not care if the product has been worn (and for 3 days and not in a harsh manner). The bar codes are read by a scanner. ****reply on reply, which will be the last. Your argument must make you not as reputable as I had believed. I have two examples that I did not need anything for returns: I had a bad pork shoulder bought from Acme. I took the shoulder back and was refunded the money, however was also told I did not need to bring the cut back to the market. The next example: I had a GE air conditioner which went bad after a year and a month. The unit was warranteed for one year however GE worked with me to make my customer experience much better. They only needed receipt that I purchased a new one and sent a rebate for the unit. The bar code is all that is warranted in order to return an ítem and repurchase the same unit applying a discount.

When I walked into the door at The Ski Bum, I was greeted with nothing but smiles! Emily was especially helpful and showed me to the snowboard boots and even helped me find the perfect fit. I found out that you need an appointment to be fit for boots and they luckily had a time slot (my fault, make sure you make an appointment! This will save their time and yours!). I totally recommend shopping at The Ski Bum over Buckman's any day, if not for their amazing equipment, for their wonderful costumer service!

Above and beyond customer service tonight. My husband drove my two boys for what I thought was their scheduled boot fitting, but I was off by one day ... the store was closed but Chris answered the phone and opened the store JUST for my boys. We have been renting skis for years from Ski bum and tonight truly showed exceptional customer service! Chris- thank you!!!

I came in for a boot fitting that ended up taking over an hour. Alex Rubin assisted me during the boot fitting and was extremely helpful, personable, patient, and dedicated to finding me the right boot. I will definitely be back here for any skiing needs in the future.

Skilled and friendly staff. I came in because I had an issue with my bindings. The staff quickly addressed my problem and fixed it. Would recommend to come here with any ski/snowboard related needs.

The guy that helped me shop for snowboard boots was really helpful and I didn't feel pressured into purchasing them.

Best ski shop I've been to. Alex clearly knows his stuff and was very helpful / patient while I picked out my new skis and boots. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Loving my gear - got the new K2 BFCs & Solomon Stance 84s and have not felt this confident on the slopes in years! Will definitely be going back

As excited as I was to get out on the slopes the customer service I received when it came to asking for help locating different items in the store was less than enjoyable. There were over 6 employees in the store and the first set of workers I asked for help advised me they weren't working and walked away. Instead of say directing me to a better point of contact. I next approached a group of staff workers who gave a little attept to locate or direct me to children thermal wear. However the woman at the register with blonde hair was very kind and helpful however I did walk out feeling undervalued and found an extremely better experience at buckmans in King of Prussia based off of that experience with the other staff. The second I walked in to buckmans i was greeted by staff and asked what i needed help with and received top quality service down to the second I walked out and received a hand shake and polite dismissal. I was outfitted with a new helmet.skis, boots, poles and bindings. My boyfriend walked out with a brand new capita board. We've been traveling a riding together for years. After returning from the west coast we decided to check back with ski bum since that was our store when we lived here years ago. But after that we have converted to buckmans due to the respect and value provided to each person no matter your skill set or age.
