Ordered a jacket and paid for expedited shipping. One week later I call and am told that the package is lost. They will rush out a replacement. Call a week later and am told that item is back ordered. The reason I paid for expedited shipping was to have the gift arrive by a birthday. The birthday passed, I purchased something from another company, and asked for a refund. I was told 7 to 10 business days for the refund. Now 15 business days later, I call back. I get no where with the customer service rep and ask to speak to a manager or supervisor. After 14 minutes on hold, I am told that the supervisor (Oscar) will call me back in 10 minutes. Well over an hour later I call back. They say Oscar is at lunch, call back tomorrow. I say please connect me with any manager who can make things happen. After 10 minutes on hold, a very nice lady picks up and attempts to help. She tells me that they tried to process the return but the card was being declined. I confirmed the card number and they tried when I was on the phone. Said it still didn't work. This is the same card I use for all purchases and payments at least 8-10 times a day. She says she will need another credit card so they can process the return. I am not giving them a 2nd card, and explained that to her. I am told that the only other option for a return is for me to dispute the charge with my bank. This is another action I have to take because they lost a jacket 6-8 weeks ago. Called the bank and was told that the dispute could take up to 90 days to resolve.
There was NEVER a proactive call or email from Soft Surroundings letting me know ANYTHING at any point. No shipping info, like they told me I would receive, no delay notices, no communication about the card not being able to receive a refund, which is pure BS. Each attempt at communication was initiated by me.
Depending on who answered the calls, I was told one of the following:
1) Product shipped.
2) Product was delivered.
3) Product was backordered.
4) I needed to return the item if I expected a refund.
5) Refund was placed on the card.
6) Refund was not able to be returned to the card.
Its not the money. It was only an $80 jacket. Unfortunately this experience has soured me on this company and I won't use them again.

I placed an order online this morning using my credit card. I got immediate notification from the credit card but I still have not received any email confirmation of the order from Soft Surroundings.There should be an immediate response! I called and I got some offshore people. Who were able to at least give me the order number but still unable to send me email confirmation. Very shady. Now I'm concerned.

I love the clothing but increasingly there are frequent delays - up to a couple of months - in getting orders. Think twice about ordering if you need an item in time for a specific event as it will likely not arrive in time.

Guess this really doesn't matter since the store is going out of business. Drove almost an hour to get here to return some items. Was told because they are closing at the end of the year, they can not do online return. I do not fault the workers here. In fact I feel bad for the people losing their jobs. The products are nice. The people were nice. The company, not so much.

Even though I live in Bethelehem, I will occasionally take a ride to Glen Mills. It’s about1 3/4 hrs. Depending on traffic. But it is so worth it. The clothes are gorgeous and never go out of style! They are unique and chic and well made. I would just love if there was one in my area. Unfortunately, stores nearby are closing and I am really worried. Do yourself a favor and find one nearby or shop online. You will be a happy camper!!!!

This specialty boutique has excellent quality clothing with exceptional personal staff. Their unique offerings are designed for modern up-to-date women 35 to 65+. Something fashionable for anyone. My experience was so pleasurable with help from any of the staff near by. No hovering or overly active sales tactics. Just good quality service. Even though I tried on my items before purchasing when I put Onan iten to wear I then realized when moving around and moving my arms I chose the wrong size. No problem when taking item back 3 days later. Sales associate helped right away getting a new size. She was totally empowered to make for a beneficial transaction. Highly recommend.
