Dream On Acres Boarding Kennel
326 Shrivers Corner Rd, GettysburgWe took our two old dachshunds to Sue for many years, and it was always such a positive experience. She was always flexible like when our flight was cancelled and they had to stay an extra night, and she even gave our one dog who had a stomach ache chicken and rice. It felt like she cared for them as if they were her own. Any time we dropped the dogs off, they'd always run up to the door and then run to the back without even looking back at us! It was so reassuring to know that they always seemed happy to spend time there!

10 Springs Ave, GettysburgThe owner of this shop is lovely! We’re new to town & didn’t read the times before coming on down with our cat for a nail trim on a Monday; when they’re closed. She, luckily, was in there and happily took us in. She was quick, personable and did a wonderful job. Will most definitely coming back!!

Gettysburg Animal Hospital Inc
996 Old Harrisburg Rd, GettysburgI have a 5 year old German Shepherd -Siberian Husky that I just started taking to GAH.. I'm definitely happy with taking her there, but there were a few things that threw me off
My first impression was that the lady that took me back to the room the 1st time was very stand offish.. not very friendly and second that they do not offer a flea and tick plus heart guard.. my pup has always had
Nbjp9⁶ça heart guard so we will be buying it online... NexGuard has worked wonders for my pup. But over all I'm happy with the service that they have given my pup...
Definite A+ compared to other vet offices ❤️??

Waldo's & Company
17 Lincoln Square Basement, GettysburgStayed Overnight and found this delight! Yes I know how it sounds. But truly this was one of the joys of our overnight stay. A local resident said to try Waldo’s. It was totally worth the trip. Local coffee spot that supports the community and local artists. Coffee is by donation and helps to support the makers space. Nice to see a place that gives back to the community. Not to mention all the amazing art! A must see.

La Bella Italia
402 York St, GettysburgOur server was very pleasant and attentive. The Grilled Chicken Milano was incredible, and they have a tasty variety of deserts. We had their Tiramisu of course, and a light Limoncello Cake. Great wine selections. This restaurant is the real deal. We went back a second night during our stay for pizza and that was good. We go there every time we're in Gettysburg.

Bantam Coffee Roasters (formerly Eighty-Two Cafe)
82 Steinwehr Ave, GettysburgI enjoyed this place. It was quite busy when I came here on a Tuesday morning, but they had a decent size of seating available. My husband had the Black coffee, while I had 'Frosty's Flask Iced Latte' which was basically a maple iced latte (I don't have the description in front of me). I LOVE maple and I have had multiple maple coffees before at several places and this was by far the best with actual maple flavor. Service was fast, friendly and informative. I would definitely be back if I was in area and would recommend.

The Hideout
35 Chambersburg St Rear, GettysburgWe visited on a busy night but got two seats at the bar. It was a lively place. We really wanted a great burger and this was a smart stop. It was recommended by a nearby shop. We enjoyed some onion rings to start and they hit the spot with the dipping sauce. The burger was well prepared and the sweet potato fries were a good compliment to the meal. They had good draft beer selections and we noticed a great bourbon selection as well. We opted for beer but if you want a good bourbon, definitely a spot to explore. Cheers!

O'Rorke's Family Eatery
44 Steinwehr Ave, GettysburgWhen we dropped in to O'Rorke's on a weeknight, the place was packed. This area is absolutely a tourist hub, and so we were surprised that they grabbed us and put us in a booth really fast. This is truly an old style Irish pub with all the wood siding and wood booths to boot and very loud. There is also an outdoor patio but it was pretty cool outside for that although there were some people braving the chill. Our server was quick, friendly and efficient. For food, we started with the Irish Flag salad which was a basic salad that we split between us. Then we had the Shepherds Pie which was just ok, and the fish and chips basket with fries. The fish and chips was well prepared with two good sized breaded fish, and the fries were extra crispy which is exactly how I like them... And don't forget the Oktoberfest beer on tab when it is available. Nice that they also have live music on some nights. The couple playing were pretty good.

Montezuma Restaurant
225 Buford Ave, Gettysburghad an amazing experience at Montezuma Mexican Restaurant! The street tacos were bursting with flavor—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and authentically delicious. I also tried the Delmar fajitas, which were sizzling, tender, and packed with all the right spices. And I couldn’t resist finishing with the fried ice cream—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and absolutely decadent.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made me feel right at home. If you’re in Gettysburg and craving authentic Mexican cuisine, Montezuma is a must-visit!

Honey Bee Restaurant
58 Chambersburg St, GettysburgThis is a cute place that's great for a nice breakfast. The fare is pretty standard; it's what you'd expect at most diners for a good breakfast. Not a lot really stood out, and the portions were a little on the smaller side compared to most other diners we went to, but I'd describe as reliably decent. As my brother would say, "Good, not great." It's also in a busy area, so expect a wait.
