I have waited over a year to post about this store and my experience. I have lived in Adams County for four years. A friend and I decided that we were going to explore Gettysburg for the day. Gallery 30 was definitely on our list to explore. I have been looking for the perfect purse for years and I actually found it at this store! But I decided to look around a little bit more before I made my purchase.
As my friend and I were near the front door, she whispered to me, did I notice how they were watching us. Which I replied, no. One thing you have to understand is, my husband was a Pennsylvania State Policemen , therefore, I was always treated with respect.
So I looked up and saw at least five employees staring at us, so I decided to go around and make another round through the store. She was correct with her observation they watched us like we were vagrants.
As I was looking through the reviews, I have seen that I am not the only one that was treated this way.
I do expect some type of reasonable explanation/apology from the owner or manager for this type of behavior. You and your employees have gone beyond the scope of protecting your inventory.
You have definitely shown me that the customer does not come first that you value the products in your store more so than the value of people. Shame on you ?

The scale is bigger than I thought. There are a variety of goods, but the price range is a bit high. It's worth going in to take a look.

Wow, what great craftmanship and products. I ordered from Gallery 30 because one of my best experiences was visiting the town as a young person and experiencing the history, the graves of the unknown soldiers is very moving. I am so pleased to have received a quality product from artists in the US along with a great note card that explains the company's purpose. I live across the nation...the package came quickly and safely to my front door.

Working in retail before I completely understand theft and being aware of customers. However on a recent visit after exiting the store, an employee came as we were exiting the store and wanted to see if my almost 19 year old daughter had put the wax melts she was looking at back. In the middle of the accusation she located them and said “oh there they are.” Better customer service would have apologized and just explained that they need to watch because of maybe possible theft in the past…but she didn’t which led my husband to go back in to confront the poor service only to be met with smug smirks and sarcasm. Way overpriced and literally the same merchandise for years. (Duke Cannon products twice as much than what you pay for at Target) Will never enter the doors again. The constant staring but never asking if you would like help, the following you around the store, the poorly acting secret shopper, the rude service…just a few reasons I’ll never go back.

A lot of really pretty and interesting handmade things! I loved the wooden bird sculptures the most - I got a small one but I wish I had space for a bigger one.

What a great store located right in the heart of Downtown Historic Gettysburg. So much to see...I wanted to buy everything (although I just left with this great t-shirt and cool coaster.) And I really like that they have products from local artists, too. It is a must-stop shop!

Discriminatory, racist, small-town mentality staff.I am a foreigner and I love to travel. I live in WDC so this was my first time visiting the city of Gattersburg PA.We wanted to buy souvenirs in gallery 30 and after 1 mint looking around the store 3 employees started to follow me and my two children around the store without concealment while staring at us. Finally, after feeling so uncomfortable with them I asked one of the ladies( blond short hair) are you following us? She admitted "yeah, we're watching you."He asked: Do we look like suspicious people for you and the staff to monitor us so openly and close? I told her I don't see you following other customers like you closely follow us, she smiled sarcastically and looked down pretending to fold scarves as if what I was saying was funny. I asked for the manager and she said "I'm the manager".My children were collecting things to buy as souvenirs, but I left them on a table and asked to the cashier employee if that lady I spoke to was the manager and she was surprised when she heard me asking so ... "yes she said if she is the manager so she is.I left that store stunned, in shock and so unwelcomed.I will not support a business that is not child-friendly and the staff that discriminately chases us as if we were thieves just because I have a Latin accent.

2nd time in 3 years I visited the store on a mini vacation and as soon as I walked in the door I was being watched!! I said outloud to my daughter ' here we go again being followed and watched like 3 years ago, upon saying it a employee or owner idk who she was asked me what I said? She also began to walk at my side about 4ft away repeating what I said outloud anyway!! As I walked through the store my daughter said the employee's were in a huddle staring us down and talking, whatever lady whatever!! Never be back for such a rude treatment of shoppers!10/28/2023 @ 3pm

What everyone says about this place is true... you will be hawkeyed if you choose to explore the store.I would not recommend you bring your children here.All in all a beautiful store but snoody vibes for sure. I feel like some of the employees purposefully try to blend in....
