Adams Rescue Mission has been an asset to the Gettysburg community since 1972. It is a community funded center with ministries including a homeless program for men, women and children, and a clothing and furniture voucher program. The mission strives to reach those in need by fulfilling spiritual and physical needs. It is funded by the income from its industrial program, thrift store, fundraisers and donations. The thrift store is described as friendly and helpful, with a basement full of furniture and a long room for housewares. Prices are typical of a yard sale and very affordable, making it a vital resource. The store also has an outdoor garden section selling herbs and flowers. Customers visit for the BOGO sales and find items for themselves and their families.
Everytime I come to Gettysburg I stop and shop here. The place is clean and organized and the prices are low and you also get a senior citizen discount. The staff is very friendly. I also shop at their other 2 thrift shops!

This is my local thrift stores and I stop by at least once or twice a month. I always find something to buy at a great price. Friendly staff!

I visited here once a couple of years ago and was impressed with the size of this place. Prices seemed fair for most things. I don't get up this way to often, but will definitely be back when I visit again.
