If you catch them when they're open. Good was good at not horrible rates. There were three hikers who were treated like celebrities by the majority senior citizens that were lounging about enjoying the beautiful day.

This place is very hiker friendly, just get there half an hour before closing if you want hot food. Has all the essentials but not much more. Staff was friendly and it was a nice place to hang out and eat too much icecream.

Awesome stop if either hiking or driving by. I had the hiker burger and it was prepared perfectly. Even the ?'s came out hot and good. They have ice cream for AT'ers looking to do the 1/2 gallon challenge. I only got a pint and after my meal couldn't even finish that. Haha

Absolutely love going here every camping season! We always stop in for their fresh fries and ice cream after a day of hiking!

Perfect spot for the Appalachian thru-hikers. This spot is quite well-known by the hikers. They are known to get a half a gallon of ice cream and finish it in one sitting. The prices aren't amazing but it's good to support a place like this. Got the southwest breakfast burrito and it was very good and big. We were told by hikers that their fries are great. If you stay at the Ironmaster's mansion, scoot next door to this place. It's got character to it! Oh, hi the AT museum as well.

We heard great things, were hiking the Appalachian trail and needed to do the half gallon challenge here, the girl working today closed up twenty minutes early and we didn’t get to do it, an iconic part of the trail to celebrate our half way point. We also couldn’t resupply here so I’ll be hiking 20+11 miles on leftover snacks to make it to the next town over.Basically I’m saying, closing 20 minuets early can have a huge effect on some customers and we were really let down.

We were visiting the park and AT Museum, and wanted to stop in the store. Although we brought a picnic lunch, we knew we'd regret not trying the Hiker Burger. The young ladies behind the counter cooked and carefully prepared the sandwiches like artisans. They were delicious and served with a friendly smile. One third pound patty, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, double cheese, fried egg.

Stopped in with some Appalachian Trail hikers to watch them do the Half Gallon Icecream Challenge. The employees were friendly and there is plenty of seating outside. Appalachian Trail museum nearby also. The hiker burger is outstanding and the large fresh cut fries are LARGE. Looking forward to going back as soon as possible.
