Knowledgeable staff. Very contractor oriented. Ordering at the counter is fairly quick. Getting the materials loaded can sometimes take forever.

Speaking from personal experience, I 100% do not recommend ever working here. It was a great place to work for a long time but once the ownership changed so did the integrity.

Somehow EVERYTIME i come to this place in frazier, they barely have people out or nobody can help because “its not my department “. I came for siding and battons & i was sitting in the truck for 2 hours before i was loaded. Mind you, he brought them in skids so i don’t understand why it took so long if it was hand stacked. Employees are clueless as to where their materials are or just slacking. I don’t normally write reviews but enough is enough

Went there for an interview for hired very nice and friendly people the hr lady started questioning me about why I on probation when I was 17 mind you I'm 38 now felt uncomfortable like I was being interrogated

Professional, knowledgeable sales staff and a premium product selection set J & L Frazer apart from the competition. Especially when it comes to cedar, slate, and Azek trim, they have what you need to do the best job possible. As a professional roofer and sider, I have trusted J & L for 15 years, and they have always had my back. I highly recommend all of their locations.

Sadly, our experience with J&L Building Supplies in Frazer/Malvern, was pretty awful. From those answering the phone, to those tending to you when you went in, to our rep, Oak, everyone we dealt with at J&L was miserable. We were actually warned by MULTIPLE contractors that J&L is notorious for treating homeowners badly, in favor of contractors. They don't seem to be apt at dealing with the general public. This was absolutely the case. A very simple siding order, placed with Oak, took three weeks to get quoted, and then after calling three times to make payment, it got further delayed for no clear reason (we still have no clue), and then cancelled on us, again for no reason. Just cancelled. Oak left us completely in the lurch, with a contractor on a timeline, needing supplies, ready to start, permits in hand. No apology, no explanation. Totally unprofessional and worthless, Oak.We have been renovating our current home, and former home, since 2006. Both homes were extreme fixers, and have required hundreds of thousands of dollars in improvements. We didn't go into flashy talk with Oak about how much we would potentially spend with J&L, because that shouldn't matter. His poor treatment was unacceptable, and we've spent, and continue to spend well over 6 figs elsewhere.Luckily, our new contractor introduced us to a supplier in Christiana, PA, who offers the same products, and more, who was significantly cheaper, and who made sure there were no delays or hassles with delivery or customer satisfaction. What's more? Instead of acting like he was doing us a favor to condescend to help us (as Oak did), our rep through the other supplier was sincerely gracious and appreciative of our business. I offer a Yelp list of DIY/renovations suppliers as a resource to anyone seeking a better experience than J&L was capable of providing.

We went to the store around 4pm they are closing 4:30. We were looking at siding and roofing materials. There were 10 or more sales people (workers) and not even one them asked us if we need any help. when I ask questions guy behind the counter wasn't so friendly. Very poor customer service. Try in the morning they may be more helpful then.

Good competitive prices and friendly staff that make the loading process quick and easy. Huge selection so they probably have whatever you need for your construction project. Been using them for over 10 years for materials for multiple projects around my house

What a horrible place to do business. After many requests to open a charge account from the desk associates I found out the hard way what a mistake I made. Beware! On the back of the application in the smallest font, they slid a sleazy line that automatically allows them to win a judgement regardless how ridiculous or fictitious the charges they make to your account
