Do not use this facility for surgical purposes. Well visits fine. Staff has poor communication skills amongst themselves and with you as client that jeopardizes pets well being and concerns of proper care. Totally unacceptable and no responsibility.

I feel like they could do a better job. The service was not good last time I went. It made me want to change vets.

I had a absolutely awful experience with this place. I adopted a kitten from the spca and had no problems until about a week or two after adoption I noticed something odd on her paw. I took her to this bet waited 3 hours, to Come to find out they forgot about me and my kitten outside. Once I was finally seen they basically told me to keep a eye on in and they would take a closer look once she was neutered a week later. When I took her to Get neutered I reminded them to look at her paw. Once they did I was told that it was a extra toe, however after doing some of my own research I have come to believe that it was ringworm. I said are you sure, and asked them to take another look. They said that it might be ringworm but that was unlikely and to just keep a eye on it. Well about a week later my kid got ringworm and my kittens extra toe just magically disappeared. It was awful and upsetting knowing that this all could have been prevented. Not including the fact that both times at this get they have been rude and unprofessional I would not recommend .

This vet is ridiculous. They will tell you it’s urgent they see your pet then you must jump over hoops to set up an apt. They will never tell you how long you have to wait once you arrive to the appointment. Apparently there’s a 10 min late policy then after that you have to wait for god knows how long. They have no consideration for your time.

I called to let them know the dog I adopted had been sick from the day I got her. Finally connected with Carly at their clinic. I explained to her I had no faith or confidence in their clinic because of the bad experience I had the first time. I explained I had the pup to a vet 3 times in 2 weeks and the vet wanted to see her after she completed her round of a new antibiotic. At this point in time I had a vet bill over $300. She had xrays taken which showed a pre pneumonia state and my vet stressed the importance of returning when she completed her second round of antibiotics to have another set of xrays done to ensure her lungs were ok. I relayed this info to Carly. She suggested I go back to their clinic where they could do the xrays and provide medication if it was needed. She also assured me my concerns would be addressed and I should have no problems. I agreed to see their vet. I went over what care my pup had undergone, what my vet's plan of care was, and there was to have been documentation as to what was to be done to have continuity of care. The visit did not go well. I was asked if her cough could be a reverse sneeze. I KNOW what a reverse sneeze is and sounds like and told him so. He then proceeded to pull up a video of a Boston Terrier experiencing a reverse sneeze. I found his action not only condescending but offensive and unnecessary. He either didn't believe or didn't understand what I said, or didn't care. I told him my animals cough was more of a honk and she acted as if she had something stuck in her throat, coughing to expell what appeared to be stuck, not the snorting sound as the animal inhales of a reverse sneeze. I then explained what my vet's plan was and that I came in for her to have xrays done as my vet prescribed to make sure her lungs were ok and that I was told would be done and there should be a note in her records or on her appointment notes. Long story short, xrays were not done so now I have to return to my vet to ensure her lungs are clear and the "virus/infection" doesn't kick back. The ONLY reason I went to the SPCA clinic was because I had been told they would do the xrays. In the interest of saving money or is it a calculated risk of an animals health? Do you take an xray to verify an animals lungs are clear and undamaged or do you not go that extra distance because the dog "appears" healthy? Their initial reasoning, they didn't have the initial xrays to compare theirs to and the dog looked healthy. If you take the pics and her lungs would be clear, no problem.If you take the pics and there is cloudiness or scarring or whatever, there's a problem. Second reason I was told by Carley was the vet said she was eating, drinking and looked healthy so he saw no reason to do the xrays. And if you don't have the authority to tell someone a diagnostic proceedure will be followed, why would you tell the owner your vet will comply then back peddle when the vet refuses to comply? I wasted a trip to the BVSPCA clinic, which is farther away from where I am than to my vet, only because I was told she would be able to get her xrays done there. I was also given more antbiotics and a cough medicine...if you believe an animal is "healthy" why provide medicine? If you think she's healthy because she looks healthy, why put her on medicine? Antibiotics are overprescribed for animals and humans. Why not do the diagnostc test to confirm the animal needs more antibiotics after being on them for 24 days instead of pushing them on the owner to appease them. The last thing I need is a dog with diarrhea because her digestve flora has been killed off from too many antibiotics. I've also been giving her vitamins and a probiotic to prevent this, but only time will tell if it helps her. If I had any reason to believe xrays would not have been done, I would not have gone to the BVSPCA Clinic wasting gas and time to have my dog seen.
