these people are very rude. I would recommend going anywhere else. I went there for a goldfish and goldfish bowl they refused and said I had to buy a $200 to $400 tank for a goldfish. since my daughter really wanted a fish I ended up getting her a beta with a bowl and food it came to about $70. I could buy a goldfish to feed my pet but not to enjoy it's life and teach my daughter responsibility. I have never been treated like this by any store and the attempt to get me to spend hundreds more for a goldfish is ridiculous. I may be wrong but I will never do business with these people again.
edit I have no idea how they have a 5 star review score I was not able to even say how many stars I'd give them. just that I was not satisfied with shopping there.

The employee refused to sell me a goldfish with a goldfish bowl so I was forced to buy my daughter a beta instead. I ended up spending about $70 which wouldn't have been bad but a beta lives about 2 years minus shelf life and a goldfish can live for decades. Sadly my daughter is autistic and would have been heartbroken if we couldn't leave with a fish. The reason to refuse me a goldfish is that they apparently cannot live in a goldfish bowl now and I was told I had to buy a $200 to $400 fishtank for it. Trying to sell your overpriced tanks like a sleezy used car salesman is ridiculous and I will never shop here again.

I am torn, i have a 3 year old angelfish that is wonderful from here, no problems with her ever. So we went Wednesday to get a 2nd aquarium and some fish. We were upsold on the aquarium and extras for it, ok, np, bought some angelfish, sharks, snails, mollies, for both the established tank and for the new tank from there once ready. Lets say i am livid, my original fish are fine, but EVERY SINGLE NEW IS DEAD, within 20 hours, no matter the tank, old and new all dead. I know fish are hit or miss, i get that, but this is crazy, my originals are all fine, 3 of the 4 snails are fine, and now i see things i did NOT buy but was charged for on my reciept, so 60 dollars worth of fish all dead, and charged another 20 for items we never got, yeah flippin mad!! But my original angel is thriving and fine, but one fish can be overshadowed by this, beware, not happy this last time for sure, not sure we will be suggesting them any more or go back, have to to find out about the charges for things we do not know or get!!!!

The fish are quite affordable and I usually find some excellent deals there. I've always got good direction and recommendations on fish and my tank has been flourishing because of that.

Went there to buy a hamster. The hamster i was interested in was sleeping with it's head buried under sawdust. I asked the woman working (who I believe is the owner....older woman with somewhat short hair) if she could come back and show me it so I could fully see what it looked like. She refused, and rudely said she will only show me the animals AFTER I pay for them. WHY would anyone pay $20 for a hamster they weren't even allowed to view before purchasing? Any pet store lets you check out an animal you're interested in buying. I asked again and explained that i just wanted to see what it's face looked like before i bought it and she got very snippy with me. I have never dealt with a business owner so rude and unprofessional. Not to mention the store is very dirty. I will never step foot in there again and I will make sure it is known how awful this store is.
