My daughter has been going to this school for about 3 years now, and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are caring and the office/admin staff are extremely professional and on top of everything. She's learned a lot there, and every day she's excited to go. I would highly recommend this daycare to any parent!

My son loves going to Lightbridge. He wakes up in the morning asking to go to school. The teachers do a great job at having fun while also having the kids learn. Ms. Anne has been great with accommodating his needs and making him feel comfortable.

Even though my daughter is no longer a student at Lightbridge Academy, I'd like to thank all of the wonderful teachers at Fort Washington. My child was born just before the pandemic hit, so starting school was difficult for her at first. The teachers at Lightbridge assisted my daughter in developing the skills she will need for success in school and her life outside of school. My daughter will now be 4 years old and she is ready for big girl school. Thank you guys again!

I’m sure they will say that they can’t associate my name with any child who was there like they did for all the other negative reviews but believe me, that’s just their way of deflecting and not addressing or taking accountability! My child was there for over a year and I can name all the many teachers she had and classroom names. The administrator is very unprofessional. There were so many staff who left and did not have good things to say. The administrator also fired several teachers in a short time and there was so much turnover that it raised a red flag. My child had 3-4 different teachers in 6 weeks (green frogs)! If she would take the time to hire quality candidates who have a background in education (actual teachers and/or certified) then there would be less staffing problems. She also didn’t know any of the children by name and after my child had been there for over a year, you would think she would know her.My child came home with a huge hematoma on her back that had bled through her shirt and no one even noticed or took the time to call and inform us. She also came home completely drenched a few times from not being taken to the bathroom or changed for many hours (fully potty trained now after leaving). It’s shameful and borderline neglect. There were fun activities especially during summer camp but not enough academic work and absolutely no assessments or individualized feedback. Unfortunately they were glorified babysitters.

We have been sending both of our kids here since they were babies and have had a great experience. Both the front office staff and the teachers take good care of our kids, the children enjoy going here every day, and we feel safe and trust them.

Our 1.5 year old daughter has been attending Lightbridge Academy for almost a year and we are very happy. Our daughter is excited to march on into the building in the morning and excited and happy to see us on the way out in the afternoon. We love the pictures and updates we get during the day, and the occasional art project that comes home with us. I'm also thrilled that she gets a lot of outdoor time. Our daughter has clearly developed close bonds with her classmates, teachers, and staff. Over the past year, staff and teachers also took special effort to help our daughter learn to crawl and later to walk.Lightbridge is a special place and I'm glad it's part of our lives.

Amazon staff with so much heart and caring. My nephew is so excited to go to pre-school at Lightbridge. I have seen such wonderful development in the last two years. The management and staff is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and I am very thankful to “Miss Lissa” and the whole team.Jane, the Director, with her years of professionalism and vast knowledge of the education system is simply wonderful. If I could 10 stars I would not hesitate.

Overall daycare is okay but for money you pay its not worth it and rude new staff in the front office doesn't help the situation at all.New member of front office is not courteous at all. She is rude, interrupts every time and is condescending.Last few months of exp has been bad with this staff, freq fee increase, lack of safety, spraying disinfectant in the class when kids are around (its better to use wipes or spray in cloth and wipe) and teach more hrs than playing tv and teachers need to stop spending tuition time to prepare for activities. My two cents: Think and treat the little ones as your kids or grandkids.

They simply DO NOT CARE your needs! Avoid this daycare! We were looking for day cares for our 1.5 year baby. This day care came to our attention and we did a tour of the daycare on 06/17/2021. First impression was super. Everyone is friendly and the facility looks very clean. My wife and I also likely the curriculum very much. So I wrote a check with registration fee and two-week security deposit (being told the registration fee is non-refundable), and droppedmy check to this daycare again the next day to secure the spot for our baby with two tentative start days (06/28/2021 or 07/06/2021).On 06/24, we decided to take our baby to the daycare for an in-person tour and interviewed the teacher. After the tour, we don't believe it would be a good fit for the baby and the teacher in his age group, so we told the director to withdraw the process on that day.On 06/25, guess what? They did a ACH transaction with my bank account information from my check and deducted one month tuition. I called and asked why this happened and the response was that they thought I was going to the daycare. However, they assured me that they would refund the ACH payment and the security deposit.Since then, I did a couple of call follow-ups and three to four email follow-ups on the refund. Each time, the response was "I will check with accounting team; I will ask the owner; owner's on vocation; I am on vocation.." As of today (08/03), I decided to write this review as I am getting so frustrated with this daycare. They do not live to their own words and made promise without actions.Hey, if you cannot treat us parents seriously, how can we trust that you can even take care of our babies seriously? I am glad that we did not send our baby to this daycare , but meantime I feel so bad that I had to write this review as this is such an upsetting experience.Updated as of 9/15/2021. I got my ACH payment back via my bank's transaction dispute team. For the security deposit, the owner told me they will mail to me around end of August / early September. However, I never received it.Last update on 10/05/2021. I contacted the daycare a few times (calls and emails) asking for status update on the security deposit refund. The answers from the front desk are just cliché. "owner's not here", "we will call you back", etc. Never received a call or a mail from them. They simply DO NOT CARE!

DO NOT ENROLL your child here. I wish I read the comments below before I enrolled my child. We were at the Ft Washington location but I have talked to mom's who sent their kids to other locations (one in NJ, another in PA) and neither had nice things to say. We had a horrible experience and pulled our daughter after the second day she was there. The staff seems super nice until you start and you realize that they all lie. They told us that the children would need to do "quiet time". My daughter is 3.5 she hasn't napped since she was 2. The director, Jane, and the tour person assured my husband and I that it was 20 minutes on the mat and if they didn't fall asleep they could do quiet activities. They made it sound like half the kids sleep and have the kids get up and do quiet activities with a teacher. That is not the case at all. These teachers absolutely want their break. They keep these kids on the mat for TWO AND 45 mins.... almost 3 hours?!?!? TORTURE. I had the live video feed and I watched for both days as this happened. Multiple kids were on their mat tossing and turning for the entire time. My daughter tried to get a puzzle after 45 minutes one day and it was taken from her and thrown on the floor twice and then she was moved away from the shelves. I was infuriated as I watched this on her first day and then I was assured by the director that this wouldn't happen again and it happened again on her second day and I took her out immediately. I tried to be nice and just get my money back and move on but they refused to give my money back. I was completely misled and even the owner was SUPER RUDE when she finally responded over 2 weeks later to my fifth email. STAY AWAY!!!! READ the other horrible reviews ...I wish I did

Do not bring your children to Lightbridge Academy. Our 3.5 year old started at the Fort Washington, PA location couple weeks ago, and only lasted 2 days. We were initially told that there was a "quiet time" of 1.5-2 hours every day and that for the children who didn't nap, they could get up and do quiet activities by themselves or with a teacher. On the first day, quiet time was 2 hours and 45 minutes. The children were not allowed off of their little cot for the whole time. Some kids tossed and turned for the whole time and never fell asleep. My daughters cot was right next to the shelves where the puzzles were. Surprisingly, we actually stayed on her cot, even though she did not fall asleep for the first 1.5 hours. She did try and grab a puzzle to play with, but the one teacher immediately took it away from her. We spoke with someone about this and were assured that going forward she could do quiet activities if she didn't fall asleep in the first 30 minutes. On the second day, she was still awake approximately 45 minutes into "quiet time". At that point the one teacher went and rubbed her back until she fell asleep, basically forcing her to take a nap. This was her last day at Lightbridge and is now much happier in a different school, with NO QUIET TIME. Even though the school misled us, we were refused a refund. This quiet time is solely for the purpose of the teachers getting a break, which is why they force the kids to stay on their cot or nap. My child has not napped in 2 years, and was unhappy with being forced, and then was not fun to put to sleep at night. Not to mention, no one should be paying admission for their child to be forced to be quiet or take a nap for almost 3 hours. I will actively recommend AGAINST enrolling at this school.
