“You won't find another market that matches the rich history, friendliness of owners, and quality of products. The owner Dave went out of his way to give my wife and I a tour of the place and tell us the history of previous owners and stories about Mac Miller. You can really tell he takes pride in taking over the place. It has a very homey feel and we both thoroughly enjoyed our Reubens in the "backyard". There's no doubt I will revisit”
“Don't go in here if you love your money. I don't say this in a bad way but what I mean is if you go in here with a budget in mind, you're bound to come back with 2X or 3X of that budget because everything here is so good. The first time I visited I was pretty overwhelmed because of the variety of brands but over time I have developed taste for certain brands. Everything that you want to make an authentic Italian Dish and more you will find here. My favorite section is the Deli which has a large collection of cheese, olives and cured meat. Definitely the best selection anywhere in Pittsburgh. I also love that freshly made pasta. The only thing is don't really buy stuff that you can find in a normal grocery store from here because it will be priced higher. Just go for the specialty stuff which you cannot find in a normal grocery store around Pittsburgh.”
“Great huge hoagie made fresh for about 10 bucks or so just how you want them and everything fresh including veggies. I took 5 minutes to go in n out and got a hoagie made to order and everything needed to make fresh wedding soup and didn't break a 50 for everything in bulk and fresh even mini meatballs spinach carrots celery brothers ect. Employees are always kind fast and helpful”
“I was having my car towed to a shop to have it repaired and the AAA driver who was Towing my car spoke about this store I don't want to pronounce the name because I don't want to mess it up but this Market was everything that the driver said it was and what the driver said was that they had the best sandwiches well I was hungry one day and as I passed the store I decided to make a short left turn park my car and then throw off into that facility oh boy am I glad I did I got an Italian sub sandwich and I have to tell you this homemade sandwich that they put together was just awesome it was so delicious and to add a topping to that they had homemade pastries and I purchase chocolate chip cookies and their peanut butter cookies were to die for why do I say that because I'm a peanut butter cookie crazy woman I love peanut butter cookies so if you're ever in the area stop off at the family store it's a modest Market and they have beautiful fruit also it is well worth the efforts and the husband and wife couple that runs it they are so friendly so kind and attentive they definitely will see me again and probably again and again thank you”
“First timer yesterday (7-25-2024). My rate is a 4.8 all day, everyday.
Helllllll yeah. You cannot go wrong here for ANY of your grocery needs. This is a "woke" spot, meaning they don't do ?? swine products of ANY kind, and I love it. Grabbed up a 15 pound pack of beef back ribs and a 5 pound bag of whiting for a fish fest come Sunday. Beef ribs at $3.00 dollars a pound is a steal, frozen and very meaty.
The deli is the highlight. I was taken care of by a beautiful sista that had mad knowledge of her station and even let my brother and I sampled before we bought, with an EXCELLENT attitude. Definitely be back for the deli game.
The ONLY flaw at this time of their transition is the hot foods. This location doesn't have the excellence in the kitchen game like the Strip spot. I think it's for the time being cause their CMU campus spot has waaaaay better food than the Hill spot.
This Hill market alone beats up on Shop n Save, Kuhn's and many non Market District stores so shop here with confidence. If you eat that tainted, tapeworm infested swine?? and its by-products, this place is ABSOLUTELY NOT for you. Great market, great customer services and great products will make this a competing staple in the Pittsburgh area for decades, if not longer.”
“This place has a fresh great tasting fruit and produce. I shopped here for over 30 years. I buy from them as much as i can. I lived in blawnox and went here to buy everything i need because the product at the larger commercial stores is not any good. I was there yesterday. The staff are great. They are knowledgeable about what they sell and pleasant to be around. I talked with the owner's son about a product called Sorgrum which piqued his intrest, and he wanted to know more. They also support local businesses such as Russleton honey makers. If you want fresh produce, i recommend John & Jerry's produce”

100 Aldi Dr, North Versailles“Best store to grab fruits and vegetables. My last stop in I was having issues at the register and took some time to get an employee to help, or I would have given 5 stars.”
“At Trader Joe's you breeze through the fragrant inviting floral bouquets, making the shopping a pleasant experience. Trader Joe's is a brand name to reckon for quality products. Step into the world of Trader Joe's. A great experience.”
“I love this store, I love the workers, and I looooove their prepared foods in the back! YUM! Got some potato salad, boars head lunch meats and cheeses, and a nice heap of their eggplant parm! Wow oh wow, you won't be disappointed. Also, gluten free? They have some gluten free raviolis and meatballs in their freezer section, along with other easy quick reheat dinners (not gf) ...look no further, this is your one stop shop to get your little Italy on! Fyi, their home made sausage is simply the best, and it's easy to cook in a crock pot with tomato sauce and peppers for game day, or any other occasion that you need extraordinary sausage for !”
“This was an interesting shopping experience. Many items are more intended for restaurant or food service than home use. For example -- I bought 3lbs of broccoli cheese soup. I was expecting it to be in three quart-sized containers. Instead, it was all in one large bag! I had to pour it into separate containers (froze one). The soup was very good, though.”
8:30AM - 8:30PM
2628 E Carson St, Pittsburgh“I like this place despite the price going up! They still have good deals on chicken ice cream is Wells canned goods and every once in awhile another worth checking out Cam !”
“Was looking for beef brisket (whole). Associate that helped me was very helpful and friendly. Was able to get two briskets I needed. Priced at 4.49 lb. Which is awesome.”
“Love this place, all high quality food at reasonable prices! And on top of that they’re keeping the Italian heritage of Bloomfield alive, I would greatly recommend visiting. Also, their subs are amazing!!!!!”
8:30AM - 8PM
5631 Baum Blvd, Pittsburgh“I love ALDIs in general.I have to give a shout out to my cashier TaQiyya. The customer in front of me was giving her a hard time about something that had no business being an issue (seriously, it’s free to be kind).TaQiyya handled it so well and the way she reacted made me smile. I hope it didn’t ruin her day (this incident was at 10am, so a relatively start to the day)Please, be kind to service workers. No matter if they are a server, cashier, or people restocking the products you buy. Have some decency.”
11AM - 10PM
340 N Aiken Ave, Pittsburgh“Nice guy at the register. It's just a convenience store, so nothing special but the prices are reasonable. It's never out of the snacks I want, so 5 stars.”
8:30AM - 5PM
3454 Bates St, Pittsburgh“I love Groceria Merante so much. My family is Italian, and it makes me so happy going into the store to see all of my favorite foods and products. Also, the owners are all so kind, helpful, and welcoming.”
8:30AM - 8:30PM
5200 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh“The store was clean and organized. Probably 100 carts for the 30 parking spots (parking was the only downside). Everything was great and fairly priced. The cashier was quick and friendly.”
“I go there all the time very clean reasonable prices Nice produce meat department etc they even have pleasant young workers when you treat them pleasant as well!”
8:30AM - 8PM
239 Clairton Blvd, West Mifflin“Great prices and good quality food as well. The checkout process is convoluted and annoying though. They throw all the items in a cart. Even glass items and stuff like bread so they can either break or get smooshed. Also make sure to bring your own bags if you can. If not you can buy some there. Also bring a quarter for the cart.”
9AM - 7PM
4039 Monroeville Blvd, Monroeville“Don't go there hungry... This is the type of store where you can get out of hand grocery shopping very fast... It's great. Other than the strip district downtown where you pay to park, not here. It's centrally located to the "Monroeville" area. If Italian food is your thing, GO THERE. You won't be disappointed.”
“Good selection of food items for a local market. Great place to get that one item (that you forgot) when making dinner… oh, they closed 10 minutes early? Well… maybe next time:)”
6:30AM - 8PM
5901 Bryant St, Pittsburgh“Convenience with a flair is the name of the game at Bryant Street Market. The coolest sandwhiches with the finest meats and toppings have to be their specialty. The store is really clean for a neighborhood deli. Top quality food items are all that is sold at the store. Parking can be a bit of a hassle because of the way the parking lot is set up. When I have turned people on to Bryant Street Market they are quite impressed with the store.”
“I’ve never heard of this place I never knew about it and now I regret not having that knowledge. I was at my doctors office and they referred me to this place for lunch and I can tell you that they were dead on. It is amazing. I look forward to my next trip here And I will be trying to come more often than just with my doctors appointment. I don’t live anywhere close, but good food is always worth the trip.”
“Well-stocked store with an excellent selection of European foods. Great selection of canned fish and other canned goods. Prices are lower than similar stores in the region and the goods are of a higher quality. I will be back for sure.”
“Frenchi and his boys are full of warmth heart and character--their engagement and friendliness makes every visit a definitive experience that extends much farther than just getting great food. They have a big menu, so there's something for everyone and plenty of exploring available, and you ain't gonna wanna visit just once.”
“Certainly the best grocery store for its size in the city! One of the best foodie destinations in Pittsburgh.Updating to say incredible Pastrami and potato pancakes. New space is nice too.”
“I don’t even remember being in the store bc my friend & I were so enthused by the woman working up front. She knew literally everything Pittsburgh & everything Mac Miller. She was so nice & helpful. (may 2022)”
“What a nice surprise to find a place where you can buy home cooked meals that are healthy. I was really impressed with the entire store and the staff in general.”
9AM - 8PM
300 Eden Park Blvd, McKeesport“Very good experience today. Had everything I was looking for, even had Rao's sauce that I did not expect to find. My cashier was extremely nice and very helpful.”
“at Aldi I have come to expect to see cilantro for 89 cents but just recently I noticed they started carrying parsley. Two types of fresh herbs they sell throughout the year! Product variety is very small. They carry one or two brands, often store brands, of something. Produce is good, fresh, and cheap, and except for the stockers' tendency to throw everything (apples, potatoes, mangos, into to the bin) which I have seen done at ALL stores in the Pgh area. They carry a lot of frozen vegan items, as well as things like cauliflower dough pizza, tofu, etc. I like their flexibility to open up a new lane (listen and learn, Giant Eagle). Prices are sometimes 30-40% lower than the Yost Blvd Giant Eagle up the street. Their cart area is always all trashed out and someone needs to be go there everyday cleaning up the area.”
