I guess it’s almost a year since my husband’s barber retired. We were looking for someone close and came across Avant Garde Salon. I went with my husband for his first appointment with Thomas and I loved how he did his hair. Thomas commented on my hair, which is pretty curly. He was telling me how much he likes working on curly hair. I ended up making an appointment with him and loved what he did with my hair; the cut, the highlight and the style. Just switched to Avant Garde. Thomas knows what he's talking about, and he knows what he's doing - color and dealing with curly hair. I've gotten so many compliments, including my husband, who said this is the best my hair has looked in years.

Love my haircut that Thomas did! He took the time to evaluate my hair texture and discuss what would work best. He was knowledgeable how to cut my hair to bring out the curl. I received so many compliments on the new cut. My new hair place :)

What a great place! It's nestled in the back of the Fogelsville Post Office building. It's small but quite lovely, super-clean and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Thomas is very pleasant and extremely skilled as a stylist. He gave me a fabulous cut that brought my waves and curls back to life. He is wonderful! This is now, my one and only “go to†salon!! Yay!

Got a great layered cut today! Thomas is very pleasant, skilled and knowledgeable about cuts that bring out the curl in my hair. The salon is tucked in the back of the Fogelsville Post Office building - it's small but super-nice, clean and elegant. Avant Garde is my new go to salon! This was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon! I came in as a new customer to get my hair highlighted and trimmed. I have long dark curly hair and wanted vibrant red highlights. I was extremely disappointed to say the least!! The first time he did my highlights the color didnt even take. FOr any of you who know about highlighting its a long process, the foils, and coloring then the processing time under the dryer. I had to get it redone and it still wasnt right! This man has no clue what he is doing and shouldnt be in business! I was there for ever three hours on a Saturday and left feeling taken advantage of and miserable! He certainly cant cut hair either, I got home and just wanted to cry! LADIES PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE HORROR AND DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON EVER!!!!
