Tuesday December 5th, 2017I was “given” a vehicle a few months ago which included an Insurance Identification Card with the name of the owner of the listed vehicle but NOT my name. I was told that I WAS covered. To confirm I called the insurance company – Progressive – and was told by a series of people over several weeks that I was NOT covered. Karen Delp is the agent listed in the ID card. It took several weeks but I was finally able to talk to her today. She confirmed that I was NOT covered by the policy. I needed more information such as IF I was added to the policy how much more would it cost? (The owner of the vehicle claimed that he was paying $296 per month for premiums for me yet, because of my age and driving record, I have gotten quotes as low as $99.) The conversation did NOT get that far because she kept interrupting me which prompted me to ask her why was she being rude to me and if she would let me finish a sentence that was a question before responding to what she THOUGHT I was going to say the conversation would NOT take as long as she was causing it to take. Her response was to hang-up on me!!!I have filed a lawsuit against the person who lied to me – NOT for that reason; many others – and I need the information to discredit him when he is testifying. Ms. Delp has chosen to conclude our “business” “the hard way” so now I will have to have the Clerk of the Court issue a subpoena to compel Ms. Delp to provide me with a copy of ALL the documents associated with the insurance policy and/or attend a deposition at which time, under the penalty of perjury, she will have to answer the same questions I wanted her to answer during the phone call.
