Makes the stop at Fort Necessity a little bit more worth wile. They had already locked the door by the time we got there, not sure why they close earlier than the visitor center, but I would have liked to go inside and check it out.

Mt Washington Tavern is a short walk from Fort Necessity. If you like history, you will enjoy both places.

It's a great place to know American history. Well maintained and well preserved artifacts from the history. Its easy to explore on a self guided tour. If I'm not wrong, this Tavern played an important role during construction of Natioal Rod.

Wasn’t open to go inside. But a short walk from the fort. The outside is nice.

It wasn't open at the time but I'm still glad we stopped and had a look around. It's part of the Fort Necessity National Battlefield.
