These "people" are awful. ANYtime you call, seeking help and compassion for your pet, they are rude and condescending. My dog was suffering and in pain. Spent $400 (including meds they PUSHED on me that did not help the problem because they missed the real issue with their "examination"), only for my poor boy to keep suffering. Then, they would not put priority on getting him back in. Why are you people in animal health??? Clearly the humanity has long left this money pit of a heartless business. SHAME ON YOU

My senior dog was in a lot of pain from arthritis and was at the end of her life. She needed pain meds to be comfortable in her last days, not eating, wasn’t moving, and diarrhea for weeks. They refused to give her anything until after bloodwork! She was obviously suffering but they were worried about bloodwork and NOT worried about making her comfortable until her passing! DO NOT take your animal there unless you don’t care about compassion as they were more worried about making money. Why would a dog need bloodwork when they were already in their last days and needed to be comfortable and pain free!!!

Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Conrad are two of the most dedicated and compassionate vets I have ever used. My 7 year old rescue from Alabama had gotten a hold of a corn cob and had emergency surgery at another after hours clinic, once stable I was able to transfer Baby to St. Francis for continued care, I arrived at 7:30 and they open at 8:00. Long story short they opened early for me to get Baby in for her continued care. After Baby had her surgery she developed and infection in her back right paw and after the best care she could get for the infection it was decided that amputation of the outside toe and inner nail would be necessary due to exposed bone. The staff explained the surgery went over the estimate from a low cost to a high cost and scheduled the surgery for the next day. Baby came thru the surgery fine and is recovering well at this time 7/9/24.
No hidden fees, utmost compassion for Baby. I have been going to St. Francis since 2004 and never had an issue and always great care....thank you to the entire staff for you love care and concern for all my fur babies both passed and present.....I highly recommend them

Overcharges in emergency situations. Will take advantage of customer vulnerability at emotional times and squeeze as much money as possible out of you before you have a chance to gather your thoughts.

They told us to drop my cat off for surgery at 8am, then told us the lobby was closed when we got there at 8:05 and to wait for a call when they were open. The receptionists are rude, we had to drop off our pet HOURS before her procedure. They said she’d be done by 2pm because her surgery would be the last of the day (why did she need to go in at 8am??). We didn’t receive any update calls, so by 4pm we called them and they said we couldn’t get her until 6 or 7pm. Little to no communication. My cat has severe separation anxiety, and they refused to let me stay with her while they put her under for surgery. When we picked her up, both front legs were shaved and one of them severely bruised. They said “she didn’t like her leg being shaved.” Just overall inconsiderate, seemingly uneducated, and I do not trust my pet with them anymore.
