“Gettysburg Family Restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall along Route 30 on the east side of Gettysburg. Access is easy from Route 15 or Route 30.There is plenty of parking close to the door.We stopped in for dinner tonight for our first ever visit.They have a lot of choices on the menu so there are meal choices for everyone. The dinner menu offers a few breakfast style items but only a few.Two of us got the broasted chicken, and it was very good. My wife got broiled scallops and she really liked them.They make food to order so there is a bit if a wait for your order, but the food came out reasonably fast and piping hot.The tables are a bit tightly packed, but we did okay in a small sized four top.I do wish that I had ordered a slightly smaller meal, because they have a very nice desert case with som great looking items.The restaurant has a real family feel, and seemed clean and accommodating. This is not a fancy restaurant but is worth trying for some local cuisine.Hint: look at the desert case on the way in. If you want desert, order your selection and choose your meal accordingly.We may stop in for only desert and coffee next time.”
