It's always such an unpleasant experience going into Ulta. All the sales associates are so pushy. The minute you walk into the store they're breathing down your neck trying to get you to sign up for something. No, I don't want to sign up for a credit card. Thanks, but I'll pass up on whatever rewards or promotions you are doing this time. I have the right to say no if I want to. None of the associates ever seem to respect that. And every Ulta is the same.. the associates are trained to behave like this. I'm done shopping at this franchise. I'll buy my beauty products from Sephora or Amazon.

Got a call at 8 am today that my 11 am appointment was cancelled because the master stylist had a family emergency. Then I tried to reschedule, and the next available wasn’t for 3 days! I’m unable to go elsewhere because everywhere else is closed or unable to schedule so last minute. It’s my birthday today, and I just wanted to do one nice thing for myself. Thanks for ruining my special day.
Edit: they called me back at 10:15 to say they called another stylist in. At that point it had been 2 hours and I already picked up a shift.

We had the best time here today! Christine was SO helpful with my 14 year old daughter and college daughter. She was able to help them while also addressing my aging skin. She did a great job applying makeup on all of us with such patience! Go and ask for Christine!

It is 10:15 on a Saturday morning and this location has been opened for exactly 15 minutes. Look at the attached photos of the bathroom. There are hair, used tampons and diapers spilling out of the trashbin (most likely from last night.) there’s NO toilet paper and the floor is filthy. This is beyond unsanitary.

This is a long over due shout out of love for my Giovanni at the Exton store. I have visited this store many times over the last several years. In the last year and a half, Gio is my go to! At the start of our beauty journey together he was a wizard with the correct Chanel products for my skin type. We have tweaked certain products and try new ones. No matter the beauty brand, Gio is knowledgeable, professional, patient and always makes me smile. He makes the visit fun whenever I stop in. It has been great to watch him move into a manager role…well deserved. I have worked in customer service for many years. I am a tough critic. Gio is a rock star in my eyes!

I want to thank the staff at Ulta in Exton. I brought my five year old daughter in and they treated her like a Queen. They were all so friendly and didn't try to oversell me on things for littles. They found an awesome make up kit within my budget and made her feel so special. She made out well ? Thank you for helping us find little things for her on a special Mommy and daughter day out. She was so excited and grateful and commented on how nice they were to her. It's the little things that count.

I helped today by a worker named Giovani?. I am a regular visitor of the Exton Ulta know him as the employee who pushes credit cards on customers. The reason I am leaving this review is because during my visit today he was making extremely condescending and insulting remarks regarding anti-aging skincare products and suggesting I could “use some”. I find this extremely insulting coming from the fact I was simply asking for a moisturizer to help my dry skin.

I'm an older lady and I really needed to change up my products. I was greated by a very helpful gentleman. He suggested some skin care and I love how my skin is looking. Geovanny was the manager also I believe. The whole experience was not as overwhelming as I expected. I really think the difference was staff here. I'll be back for more items soon.

I have always had a good experience when shopping at ulta ! the store is so clean and the employees are always so nice and accommodating. Geo is the best at making sure I find what i need . I definitely recommend everyone to shop here & you will not he disappointed!

Ulta in Exton is fantastic! There is Ulta closer to my home and I make it a point to go to this location because everyone has always been attentive and goes above and beyond every time. I won’t go anywhere else for my skin care or make up products! Their customer service and knowledge is top notch. I just got some samples and ALL the products are awesome!

Let me start off by saying that I love the fact that ULTRA in Exton has a Chanel counter there. I am a huge fan of all Chanel products and just knowing that I don’t have to drive to KOP to pick something up is a huge plus for me.
Also, I can always appreciate the friendliness and the knowledge of the staff there. They are always so helpful. Most times I walk in there looking for something new to try and always come out satisfied with my big orange bag in hand.

Trying to manipulate teens into getting credit card - The team at the registers tonight were acting unethically. The cashier would not stop pushing the ulta credit card, at every stage of the purchase saying “remember that you could be saving $____, don’t worry if you don’t get approved, just try again!” Girls looked uncomfortable, cashier would not take no for an answer. The same thing happened to me immediately after by another cashier.
I explained to the girls afterwards how applying for credit cards and canceling immediately after is bad for your credit. These girls were so young, they didn’t know what a credit score was.
Unpleasant experience, and definitely unethical.

I went to the counter to purchase one item and was pitched the normal speil of signing up for the Ulta credit card. I know that they are required to ask, so I endure the first ask and always give a polite “no thank you”. Ulta’s point system without a credit card works just fine. This specific associate not only asked me two more times, but diverted to TELLING me I need to get the card if I want free gifts, and how could I not want free Chanel and Grande Lash merchandise. Again, I gave a “no thank you” at which point another associate chimed in to the pitch and asked “she doesn’t want free gifts?”. They both then rudely pitched again to me in a 2 on 1 situation. The main associates demeanor completely changed from laughing and complementing me to having no interest in even making sure I paid.
After I said no again, the associate checking me out walked 10 feet over to his coworker and started talking with his back turned to me while I was left to pay and choose my receipt option (not sure I would have gotten a printed receipt if I wanted one, since the associate was 10 feet away clearly focused on something else). I left with a “thank you” to the employee to make sure I hadn’t misread the entire interaction, and got a half-hearted response since I interrupted his new conversation. Besides the straight up bullying tactics Ulta is either teaching or allowing their employees to use to get people signed up for a credit card, leaving the register before a transaction is complete seems completely out of line for a place that deals with theft daily and I hope the bullying catches their attention as much as the vacant register does. Luckily I have enough self respect to not get a predatory credit card AND to make sure I pay and not pocketed any of the merchandise upfront while the employees are chatting before I can even pay. Shame on you Ulta for training or employing people to be so pushy and rude over a credit card I do not want.

Heads up that some of the sales reps are practicing some pretty predatory sales tactics at the front register at the moment.
*Leaving names out as I believe the girl didn't realize what she was doing was wrong.
The girl checking me out today kept trying to push a Credit Card sale on me (HARD), I said at least three times I wasn't interested in a credit card and she kept pushing for it.
Towards the end of her third pitch she tried to tell me that applying for the credit card wouldn't affect my credit score..........
I told her that, actually, it would as she would need to initiate a hard credit inquiry of my credit report during the application process.
Her response was: "but it's not going to hurt your credit score if you just pay the balance down every month" (....)
A message to the ULTA management at the Sweedsford road location - do better and educate your staff on credit card application processes. ??

I had a great experience getting pampered at the Chanel counter with Gio tonight. His knowledge of the product and my mini makeover was just amazing. I walked out in less than 15 minutes and all his suggestions were spot on! Shout out to Alisha as well for her help the day before with Chanel items ❤️. I am in love with this line of products and only Ulta carries them. Sephora ...snooze you lose. Kudos to Ulta for employing people who are there to make sure you have a great shopping experience!
