*I CANNOT RECOMMEND THE PROTECTION BUREAU*
I recently signed a contract provided to me by the Protection Bureau for a security system. The Protection Bureau decided to not move forward with the contract because they felt like they were not making enough money on a contract they proposed (ROI as it was explained to me). I also insisted that I have control of the system I purchase from the Protection Bureau. I'm sure this is the real reason the Protection Bureau is not installing my security system. It's all about the money and keeping it coming monthly. They want the control of the system and a subscription for the monitoring. That is why so many people are turning to companies like Ring for there security needs. Now I can see why...
This wasted a lot of my time. If I were to back out of a signed contract, I would not get away with it as easily.
As a business owner myself I can only recommend that you might want to use a better security system company than The Protection Bureau.

Hands down, the best security company I've worked with thus far. Customer service is always great, I get a call if there is an issue, I always get a quick email response from the team I work with. We've been with them for almost 10 years, they helped us when we moved from DC to VA. The install was fast and on schedule, and the price to upgrade was a fair rate at the time. Mike, Bill and Jabari are all awesome, we have no complaints.

Do not ever give this company a deposit. Once you find out how expensive they are and try and change your mind they will keep your deposit. They are way over priced.

Best company ever. I particularly loved Debbie Jakeman. She's an amazing person and very knowledgeable about meeting security needs and creating a custom system for any business no matter how big, or small.

If you ever have to deal with Paul, do yourself a favor and choose another vendor, he is a complete a-hole and is very rude, he cannot provide any useful information after they install a system and apparently they don't document network settings for their devices, so if there is an issue they will blame you then charge you to send someone out to fix an issue they should be able to do remotely. Utter garbage.

Very unprofessional with every encounter I've had with them. It's been months now, several emails describing exactly what I want for my company for our camera system and they keep insisting on trying to send a technician out to our business who is just going to tell them exactly what I have been telling them for months.Other co-workers in my company also complain about unprofessional attitudes and their lack of ability to understand what we want.My last email following up months later to see if we could get a simple licensing issue resolved went completely ignored. We STILL haven't resolved this simple issue since at least the summer and I still have the emails flagged to prove it. I'm glad I'm not the business owner because I would never stand for this. I'm just an employee, and maybe that's why they act in such a poor way.I would not recommend this company, even though they are a local business. Steer clear and find a suitable competitor.EDIT: 7/16/18 it took you five months to reply to this review. You stress LICENSES, something I've already mentioned. I wrote this review and I stand by every word of it. The fact that you're hinting at professional intimidation should be a GIANT RED FLAG to anyone reading this exchange. It shows your unprofessional nature and only cements my sentiment. Google reviews are an open forum. One which one can express their honest opinion. I'm not speaking for other reviewers. I'm speaking for myself and my experiences in which it took months to rectify a simple issue that should not have taken as long as it did.Since then it HAS been resolved. We got the license situation squared away after months of your company needlessly trying to get us to have a technician come out to do what equates to opening a program, hitting "Browse" and selecting a file.If you don't like getting honest 1 star reviews, don't do things that result in them. I've already told those you've mentioned about the poor customer service I've had to deal with and my frustrations. They didn't seem surprised, but I'm not speaking for them.I felt THAT strongly about how long it took to fix such a simple issue, that I took my own time to form it into words publicly. And then it takes 5 months for you to respond to THAT with thinly veiled intimidation. I've already explained in detail to those I work with that I took the time to write a 1 star review. If you don't like negative, honest reviews, do better.
