When I originally joined I was encouraged to get premium membership and the lady at the desk told me that I can downgrade anytime by paying a $13 fee. But, I went in today and they said I need to cancel my current membership (paying cancellation fee of 58$) and get a new one (paying signing up fee). When I asked for the reason she gave me 3:1. The information originally given to me was given to her by her previous employees and she was oblivious to the company policies2. The company changed policy after I signed up (If so I still think it is unfair)3. The best one - she denied and said I had no proof that she told me I could downgrade - smart business womanSo after hearing the third reason I had to cancel the membership even though I originally went in downgrading I am never going back as I value customer service. Please join at your own risk and ask for all the information before hand and probably get them to sign few waivers ?Note to owner: The reason this is coming back is because you are trying to take monthly fees from me till date, after all the discussions we had. I had to block the payments from my credit card (I tried reaching out, no one knew what was happening and cared to call back)

Great facility with friendly staff. The training program has been amazing with getting back into a routine and teaching me different exercises to hit my goals. Everyone I've worked with is wonderful.

I was a member at this gym for 3 years working out in the group fitness and cycle rooms over my lunch hour (which I have done for years, but with COVID my gym where I took live classes closed). About 3 days ago, the manager comes to me and says I can't use the Les Mills equipment if there is not a LIVE class going on. Sir, I have been doing this routine and walking past you for 3 years and suddenly it's this huge problem? I can't make the night classes and this is my way of working out. I use the Les Mills app (that I pay for) on my phone to do the Les Mills classes since they do not offer afternoon classes. I've never taken the equipment out of the room, nor have I ever left the equipment unlocked or not put back when I'm done using it. I'm am disgusted with the way I was treated and will never go back. I feel singled out and picked on maybe because this man was having a bad day, I don't know? But, after 3 years of doing the EXACT same thing, I can't help but wonder if he was taking something out on me. Either way, I'll never go back and will never have nice things to say. I found another gym and they were appalled when I told them how I was treated. Enjoy the little bit of power you have, sir!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I want to start this by saying I love the gym itself and how updated the place and equiptment is. However, I had billing issues where I came into cancel and the staff there messed up my canceling so I ended up owing 5 months of membership and had to pay the whole thing at once in order to cancel. Instead of using discretion and good business practices, they lost a member who would have continued paying for years instead of just the balance owed that their staff messed up. Very irritating never had to deal with that from a buisness, wish I could stay at this gym.edit: I made arrangements to pay balance because I had absolutely no choice-they would not work with me to reduce owed balance or pause payments while I figure something out. for the owner to come on here and say I agreed when I was forced into making a payment is ridiculous. I had ONE WEEK to come in and pay something othwerwise the payments would continue going to an account I don't have anymore and I would not be able to cancel. I want to make clear I did not want this I actually wanted to reinstate my gym membership and pay monthly. The second I realized this was happening (after I went to sign up for the gym again) as I believed I had canceled successfully because payments weren't coming out of my account (5 months later) I did the responsible thing and came in to talk to the gym and was met with hostility from the manager and no willingness to reduce my balance or understanding. The front staff were under the impression the manager had discretion and could forgive some balance, and gave me a different direction but when I spoke to the manager he basically said they had no clue what they were talking about. Extreme miscommunication and they lost whatever paperwork I had to cancel in the first place. They do not care about keeping their members they just care about getting you to pay.

I love going to Maxx Fitness! It is super clean and everyone is very nice. If you need any help, the trainers are happy to step in and guide you. Nate is my trainer and he’s the absolute best! He makes working out not so scary for those of us who are older and need that extra motivation and encouragement!

Nate’s been training me in boxing (after many years removed from my actual boxing days). He has me hit the mitts, heavy bag, and shadow box, as well as some rope jumping and other drills. It’s reignited that spark for boxing I had years ago, and it’s a great cardio workout to complement the weight training I do on my own. Nate has a great personality too. Sessions are never socially awkward because he’s easy to get along with and a good conversationalist. I’ve found Nate to be an awesome trainer who has taught this old dog some new boxing tricks.

Trainer Nate is incredibly knowledgeable. He created various workouts that targeted the areas I wanted to work on. Each session was enjoyable and I learned a great deal. Most importantly, I see the results.

I work with Jake for personal training and he is awesome!! I had never worked with a trainer before and I am so glad I made this decision. Initially, I was training for a specific event but I found that working with Jake improved my overall strength and fitness. He understood prior injuries and physical limitations and customized a program that worked for me. I highly recommend working with Jake!

We have been coming to this gym for about 6 months. My son works out with a trainer twice a week and he loves it. The trainer is awesome and pushes him when needed to reach his goals.

I opted for the personal training at Maxx fitness Exton last year. When I started, I was recovering from the ankle surgery and had very weak muscles mass. The gym staff is very supportive. I have been training with Nate and he is one of the most experienced and committed trainer. I really enjoyed the variety and challenge he put in to the sessions. Nate ensures that my technique is always correct and provides more options to avoid any injuries. He is extremely reliable and punctual. He always has an exercise routine planned for me.My fitness has increased noticeably and I have seen improvement in my ability to push myself harder throughout each session.I would recommend Nate and Maxx fitness to anyone looking to improve their fitness.Ruchi Singh

Would give it zero stars if I could. I just went to cancel and they are going to charge me for another month. Bully corporate tactics.

I love MaxFitness, but you please please need to put hairdryers and paper towels in the bathrooms. You should also be able to rent a towel if you need it. Many women go to work after working out there needs to be better mirrors, hairdryers, Q-tips, etc. If we're all paying a $49 annual fee, let's put it towards something that the women want . Please!!!!! I personally like style things like this. Sheryl
[email protected] if you would like really good suggestions.

Ok for the price, equipment sub-par, more often than not too crowded to the point where you’re waiting around for machines, again not always, but likely
