I have made the exact same mobile deposit at the beginning of every month for the past two years. The funds always clear the following day. This time it was made on a weekend, so I knew the funds wouldn't be available until Tuesday. When the funds weren't available on Tuesday I called immediately and spoke with a banker on a recorded line. I was advised that an extended hold had been placed on the deposit "for my protection". In fact, the funds were deducted from the payers account the night of the mobile deposit, so the bank had the funds in their possession for days. I was told not to worry and that the funds would be made available that afternoon. I was also told no items presented would be returned, not to worry. Well, the bank returned my rent check that was presented that night despite their promises. If I wouldn't have been misadvised I would have simply made a transfer to mitigate any potential return or issue. I only use this account for bills associated with this apartment. Instead, I now have a bounce fee and the inability to write a personal check to my landlord. I spoke with the Regional Manager who had the branch manager, Batista, call me. All I asked was that the bank accept responsibility for the error, so my building will accept checks from me going forward. He wasn't willing to do anything and said because I mentioned legal recourse he isn't able to help. Now I have wasted more hours of my time filing complaints with the Financial Protection Bureau and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. I am going to close my account tomorrow and go down to the court house and file a small claim for malpractice. These bankers repeat the same thing: I can't do anything.

Not sure why the rating is low but it doesnt mean this branch deserves it. I had a good experience when i came in and needed help with my account.Ruchita took her time in making sure that everything was done correctly. She was very courteous and pleasant. I have been a long time customer of this bank and branch because of their exceptional service.

Ruchita is awesome she got me a new card fast and submitted claim for charges that weren't mine quickly and fast..

I use this branch and have never had any issues. I always go inside and greeting as I walk in. Deposits/withdrawals are quick and easy. I started to use this branch more because the one in the Giant nearby has been having inconsistent hours and days open.

I really like the branch at Exton. Great people, friendly and good customer service. I am a relatively new customer and would recommend Citizens Bank to anyone.

Inconsistent and unprofessional service. Also seem slightly condescending (while not overtly rude). We actually closed our checking account with Citizens Bank because of this branch (unfortunately it was the closest location to us).
