Best shelter, they care for the animals very well, it's clean, great employees, caring volunteers. Wonderful clinic with sympathetic employees when you have to make the decision to let your fur baby pass. Offer beautiful jewlery and urns. I carry my babies cremains with me in a beautiful pendant.

The Erie Humane Society's mission is to RESCUE, REHABILITATE, AND REHOME needy pets in our community. We are a local, independent, registered 501-c3 nonprofit, no-kill, fear-free animal shelter, and have been proudly serving the Erie community since 1892. We are pet adoption agency and also operate a non-profit pet wellness clinic. We also have the longest standing Animal Cruelty Department in the Erie region, 35 years, and employ two Humane Officers with a combined experience of 25 years.
