March of 2024 took a sick stray cat to Erie Animal Hospital. They recommended the cat to be euthanized. (I should have left to get a 2nd opinion). It was not my cat, but decided to let them do there thing. I was then told that the cost was $218 if I was present or $118 if not present. (Again I should have immediately left). I was given NO Reason for the extra $100 to be present. I never heard of anything like that. I let them kill the cat without being present, and later buried the cat. After a lot of calls I realized that no other animal hospitals are doing this (At least all the inquiries that I made). So what is up with That at Erie animal hospital? And why would I ever go back? If I could do it all again and since it was not my cat and just a stray: I should have immediately left and took it to the Humane Society. If they also recommended the cat to be euthanized, I would have been better off having them do it and to have donated $118 to them. It would have gone to a better cause.

not happy at all, I was running 5 minutes late because my cat didnt wanna go in his carrier, so I called them to let them know what's going on and how I'm gonna be late , got there and they refused to take my cat for a quick check up even after I paid $50 for my appointment . so I asked for my $50 back and they said it might not be refunded so I asked to jus use the $50 for my next appointment and they said since I didn't cancel 2 hours before my appointment and since I did a no call no show I may not get it back . witch I did call and I did show up so I don't understand y my cat couldn't do a quick simple check up real quick especially cuz they had no one in waiting room . Thought my experience here was gonna be better but damn was I wrong

Our Sally of 14 years passed away on July 29th. We brought her there and staff were very sympathetic. They explained the procedure of her body being picked up and cremated then her ashes returned to us with a paw print and snips of her hair along with forget me nots seeds to plant

Thank you, Erie Animal Hospital, for the excellent care & service! My dog had a dental there last Friday and the process was painless for both he and I thanks to a caring, thorough team. My dog means everything to me and I was honestly so nervous for him to be put under for the dental procedure. The communication before the procedure and updates throughout the day really put me at ease. After the procedure, the doctor called me personally and went over every detail of the procedure with me. You could really tell how much he genuinely cares about his pet patients! They also went above and beyond to recognize that my dog was having signs of allergies and get him sent home with meds. And, noticed he was coming due on vaccines and allowed me to opt into getting them done the same day to avoid coming back for another visit. I was able to get the dental, the vaccines, and meds all lower than the quoted cost. I was price sensitive so I was so pleasantly surprised that they were able to provide great care at a lower than expected cost. I did really appreciate, though, them providing high end estimates prior to prepare me for the "worst case scenario" and allow me to budget. All in all, great experience!

This Vet saved me hundreds of dollars because they took a conservative approach for procedures. I am so glad I got a second opinion and the Erie Animal Hospital is further away from my new home but I will continue to go here because the doctors are experienced and care more about the pet supposed to the profit. My story: I moved and needed an annual physical exam for my cat went to a vet called Fairview animal Hospital and was told that he needed to extractions and was given medication and some-sort of morphine equivalent to help him with pain until I scheduled and got surgery. Erie Animal Hospital gave me a quote and even added on more panels at my request I still ended up paying less at Erie Animal Hospital and did not have to get extractions or morphine to take home. I am so grateful for Dr. Brian and his secretary Caitlyn. They were kind patient and professional...asks not for a profit, only for the Well-being of our pets.

I take all my dogs & cats here. Outstanding vet. They were very compassionate when time came for a vet and tech to come to my house and let my dog go. She had a hopeless fatal condition. They helped eased a hard time. .

I DO NOT!!!!recommend this place! When you bring a dog in for breathing issues and they focus on protein in the urine. No X-rays, no ultrasound done.. Quote" let's get a u/a first, let's get blood pressure next. We will do X-rays later. A Dr called to discuss the u/a and blood pressure. She had NO idea she was brought in for breathing problems. Are you kidding me?? You don't have a chart in front of you?? A week later, our sweet dog is rushed to the ER with severe difficulty breathing and passes away. SHAME on the DR's at Erie Animal Hospital.

We brought our cat in yesterday. He sustained bad injuries due to a dog attack. The bill came out to be 1,194.34. We picked him up yesterday evening after his surgery. He suffered from almost every thing that we were suppse to be monitoring him for. I called the Pet emergency number. It was a different Animal Hospital then the one we brought the cat to. They said we could bring him in. The cost would be about the same as Erie Animal Hospital. We are senior citizens on a fixed income. We could not afford to pay them to. I cried and begged Animal Kingdom to take our cat Yellow. They would not even tho he was dying, crying, convulsing, starving, dehydrated, in excruciating pain, and suffering right in front of our eyes. Them getting paid was more important. Erie Animal Hospital just abandoned us, and did not even have enough deciency to call and check up on the animal that they did major surgery on. These two Animal killer hospitals are more concerned with money than the animals. I do not recommend anyone to use these to Animal Hospitals. RIP Yellow we love you, and you will be missed.

Erie animal hospital is the best veterinary office anyone could ask for. They did the absolute best for all of my animals and the best for them until their final moments. They give such great care and you can tell that they care for and love the animals. They are absolutely amazing! I could not ask for anything better. They care so much and got us in every time we needed. I appreciate them more than they’ll ever know and I could not thank them enough. I would recommend them to anyone in Erie and the surrounding area. They are the best and they will give your pets the best care. Thank you Erie animal hospital for everything.

Wonderful staff, easily able to obtain an appointment. The staff explain everything clearly, they are extremely helpful not to mention they are relatively cost friendly. My Tuck is never apprehensive - he likes all the vet techs and drs. Would highly recommend.

I have been going to EAH now for approximately 23 years. I find their staff is very knowledgeable. They are about my pet. I think several of their doctors have almost a 6th sense when it comes to diagnosing animals. I won't go anywhere else. :)

They seem competent, but their prices are very high and somewhat inconsistent. Here is an example: I recently brought my dog in to have his anal glands expressed. Got charged for an "extended" exam and then another fee for the actual procedure totaling $100. They are aggressive with pharmaceutical intervention and I was charged $73 for an antibiotic available online for $30. When I questioned the bill and asked for a prescription instead of getting the medication from them, they acted put out, somewhat rude, and treated me like I was cheap or don't care about my dog. The overall experience left me feeling taken advantage of and ripped off.
