I would not recommend taking anything to get work done at this place… I brought in my 2022 Honda Civic with passenger side damage from hitting a guard rail and after receiving it I had to continue bringing it back for them to re do parts of the work probably 5 times over the course of a few months. And everything isn’t even fixed, there is a lot that I’ve just decided to deal with as I’m literally tired of bringing my car back in constantly because they didn’t do much of anything right. I don’t remember the timeline of how this all went down but this is a list of the damage they did and work they did incorrectly: They installed my rocker panel all bowed out as if it was just forced in wrong as well as putting gouges in it as if someone used a screw driver to pound it in or cut it with something and decided to just paint over that. I had to have them re adjust probably 50% of the parts they put on. They forgot clips and screws in multiple places. There are deep scratches near some of the body panels that they replaced from obvious carelessness. They got paint overspray like from when they were painting another car or something on all sides of my vehicle in random spots (it was like white foggy looking all over my black paint and they admitted that’s what it was). While my car was parked there it got tree sap all over the hood and roof (or so they said it was tree sap…) to the point that I could feel the whole car felt like sand paper. They got the paint overspray and tree sap off but in the process they trashed my clearcoat, I mean you can see track marks across the paint where someone obviously wasn’t cleaning their polishing pad or the car wasn’t prepped before paint corrections and they removed like none of the scratches around the car. I even had them do another correction which proved to do more damage and still do barely anything for the scratches. I was told they would pay to have another shop do a paint correction if I didn’t trust them to do it and when I got a quote for them the guy laughed at the price which is below what some other shops charge for a two step correction and told me to have the other shop email them and they never responded to that email. Why should I have to constantly nag them to get them to make right by damage that they caused? On the topic of paint, there is orange peel all over the place; I had them fix some of it that I had noticed right away on the rear bumper but it’s all over the side they painted in the lower half in the base coat. The only thing keeping me from bringing it back in to get the rest of the orange peel taken care of is being tired of having to bring it back and that’s messed up that’s it’s gone this far with so many issues to the point that I’m tired of bringing it back in. In conclusion, it seems to me that Bonnells is just rushing cars through and hoping it’s some idiot who will get it back and not notice all the bad work they did. I seriously hope this review deters people from a terrible place like this, multiple people warned me that the new ownership isn’t running things like they used to and I wish I had listened to those people.

My 2013 car is there. Their staff has great customer service. An external mirror and left body happened. I am a safe driver. No accidents. A stupid work tore off my external mirror. Opposite side of Rd. Glad I filed a claim with my auto insurance. I highly am grateful! Bonnels is fixing my car.Dara

Absolutely horrible service from management and inspectors. And was given the run around for several weeks on an estimate for my rust free 2005 f-250 crew cab that could have taken them one day to complete. Would never recommend this sheisty company to anybody

Very disappointed in management and the estimating agents was given the runaround for weeks on a simple estimate that could have been resolved in few days. Would never recommend this shiesty company to anybody. It seems like they want to pick and choose what vehicles to work on. I have a rust free truck that they would not even do an estimate on. Stay away!

Update: The regional manager did call me 3 weeks ago & said they’d be proactive in reaching out to insurance straightening things out because I had to go to another shop to actually get it fixed. I asked to be updated & as far as 3 weeks later I haven’t heard anything. An apology is polite but it doesn’t change the fact I had to get the car repaired 2x.Incredibly sad state of affairs here. After a 7 day estimate of repairs, they had the parts for 11 days before they started work on the car. 7 days later I received a finished product with a front bumper that didn’t fit under the lights, a back bumper that wasn’t even completely attached & began separating from the body. Runs in the paint job. Upon further inspection, other items were cracked underneath & were just repaired with glue. Manager said right away he’d contact my insurance to fix things and he never called me back. He didn’t even call me to say I’m waiting on insurance. He just never called back.I have had my car repaired here in the past & they have done an excellent job right down to the last detail. I think it is under new ownership as the old man has sold out to retire. Erie will find out real fast this isn’t what it used to be.

So very happy I took my Toyota Corolla here. I’ve had so many people come up to me and asked if that’s the same car and of course I say yes. Also had so many tell me what a good job Bonnells did and I told them I would only take my vehicles to the best no matter what the cost is. I just picked up my 2023 Kia after being repaired of over 7k in hail damage. My hood had to be replaced and then painted (among many other dents), and so far, everything looks back to brand new! Everyone has been very nice through the whole process, and the work is guaranteed! I'd use this shop again in the future if needed!

I have brought two cars to Bonnell's for repairs and I am always impressed. Everyone is friendly, professional and efficient. Most importantly, my cars looked brand new. They explained everything in detail and treated me with respect, unlike other auto services who think a woman doesn't know the difference between a two-door and a four-door. Bonnell's worked directly with my insurance company and it was the smoothest, easiest process. Hopefully I will never have to bring another car in for repairs, but if I do, I'm definitely going to Bonnell's!Services: Painting

I was updated on the progress of my repairs. I hit a deer Memorial Day weekend. I was immediately updated on June 1st that my estimated completion should be July 6th. I was repeatedly updated that restoration is under day and things are going well. They moved my completion to July 12th. No biggie. I still have my rental. Then the completion was moved to July 14th. Ok, two days later. Get another text and car wont be done until July 21st. Nope not done. Pushed to July 26th. Wrong parts were ordered. They were for an Escape. I have an Edge. Then it was pushed to August 4th. Once again, still missing parts that didn't come in. Monday, August 7th I FINALLY got my car! It was two and a half months later.My insurance only covered for 45 days. Luckily, Bonnell's continued paying for my car rental after I was past the 45 days.

I needed to get a estimate for my car so I made an appointment. They took photos and I explained and showed what had been broken on the car parts wise then they sent me home and said I'll be getting a email of the estimate by the end of the day . Every other day I would call them and they would give me the same answer "by the end of the day" . After calling them yesterday and letting them know I'll give them till the end of the next day or I'll be going elsewhere I get a email that the photos they took were magically gone . They wasted a week of my time and I will not be going here in the future.

I want to thank everyone especially the ladies and gent on the front line at the desk and you all are most awesome. The car looks great and I would recommend and return in case of future inci~dents. You are the best in town. Make sure you keep it that way. Numbers won't mean much if they drop because you become like Maaco or Raz a message to the suits. Great job by the whole team. Thank you! An extra thanks to the shop manager in the back running the body side of things I hope you catch many fish in your off time. High fives and hugs to the whole crew especially the kid in the white Charger!
