Been going to this vet for my beloved pets for over 18 years. Very compassionate. ? currently my pup sees Dr. Piersol, who we've seen for years for all our dogs. My older dog loves her and actually gets excited when I say her name. He is getting acupuncture for back legs. He's a 10 year old lab and my whole ❤️ heart. She is so good with him and really listens to our concerns and has taken such good care if him. Would recommend them to anyone who loves their babies as much as we do which is immensely!

All the staff members were friendly and sweet, the vet was knowledgeable and helpful, and they even got me in earlier than my appointment date for something I was concerned about. Thank you!

Refused to accept emergency appointment for infection. First available appointment was in 6 days unless I paid an extra $100…..then they had time. Not the kind of service that is acceptable to me. Seems as though they don’t have their first priority in caring for medical service. Moving on to a Vet service that cares.

The level of care here has plummeted. I used to bring both dogs here for years but the place has just become a mess. I bring a dog in for vaccinations and a month later when we come back for a second round they have zero record of him being vaccinated in the first place. So the dog had to get all the vaccinations AGAIN, just so they could have a record it happened.
In a separate visit - 5 minutes after seeing a doctor the front desk won't let us leave because the dog's chart doesn't show he was prescribed the medication. The medication the doctor just said he prescribed. They're failing to document anything, they're miscommunicating, and they're mistreating because of it. Don't take your animals here. This place just is not what it used to be.

‼️‼️‼️‼️DO NOT GO TO ANIMAL ARK PET HOSPITAL ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Normally I don't write bad reviews, but I truly love animals and I have to advocate for all of them and by advocating for them, I have to educate everyone that is considering going to Animal Ark Pet Hospital.
I would love to tell you that it was one vet that treated my boyfriend and his mother’s dog Louie like they did, but there were 3 vets. Louie is an amazing 6 year old healthy, active Boxer. he quit eating, and like any responsible dog owner, an appt was made to see why this was going on . This precious dog was given an appetite stimulant and over priced dog food and sent home costing them hundreds of dollars. If you can guess, that didn't work, so again, an appt was made for the following day . Still no answers but blood work showed an increase in white blood cells and the xray was negative. The vet said, it's pancreatitis with no testing to prove the diagnosis. They gave him sub q fluids and sent him home again costing yet again hundreds of dollars and told us if he doesn't improve, bring him back AGAIN, the next morning. The next morning our precious Louie is now so lethargic , but we were able to get him to walk to take him to the vet per their instructions. He's taken into their care for 8 hours, hundreds of dollars again, with absolutely no answers and now Louie can't move his back leg. They tell us to take him home again and bring him back again the next morning. Now 3 vets are looking at his previous xray and now say, "we think we might see something but we're not sure". When asked why three vets looking at the xray hadn’t seen anything prior to the other X-rays they took the vet informed us “they were looking for a chicken bone” (because we said maybe , one in a million chance he could have got into the trash) At this point I tell the vets I'm making an appt at another vet to get some answers and at that point, they tell me, "good luck getting into another vet around here for a second opinion but you're more than welcome to try. You will likely have to go to Akron or Pittsburgh". Again, they charge us a couple hundred more, which by the way, I'd spend a million dollars on our precious Louie, for competent vets. We were able to get him into Animal hospital of Waterford Within 4 hours we found out that his ACL was torn in his leg (that was not there a day prior) and unfortunately did not get the results we wanted.. a tumor pressing against his stomach and our precious Louie went over the Rainbow Bridge. We are heart broken and devastated that he suffered while at Animal Ark and they inflicted injury on him while in their care just to keep taking our money with no answers. These vets are incompetent, and caused more injury to our precious Louie. I'm sick just thinking about what they did to him while he was there. Do not take your precious babies to this vet. I have to say thank you to the team at Animal Hospital of Waterdford for treating our Louie like he was theirs. They cried with us and ensured that we had the support we needed. RIP Louie! You are our everything ♥️

I had called both Animal Ark on W 12th and W 38th the last week to try to get an appointment in for my FeLV+ cat who had taken a terrible turn healthwise. Both people at the phones were extremely kind and extremely helpful, trying their best to help me get him in to be seen. I was finally able to get in when Animal Ark on 12th had a cancellation. The staff at Animal Ark were amazing. They were so empathetic and helped me so much during this difficult appointment. They handled my sweet Felix with so much love and care as if he was their own cat. I had to make a very difficult decision during this appointment and was assured I could take my time. I ultimately had to make the decision to put my sweet boy down. I could not have asked for better staff to be with me and him on that difficult day. They treated us both with such kindness and I was overwhelmed by their sympathy, kindness, and compassion. I spent probably 5 hours in that exam room that day, and they let me have as many final moments with my boy as I needed. They even sent me home with some whisker clippings and hair clippings. I cannot thank the staff here enough for being so supportive and kind to me on one of my hardest days and for treating Felix with such care during his last. I am so grateful for them.

Dr. Murphy and his staff treated our cat "Herbie" with great care. He explained everything they were doing. He called me both days and gave me updates. We are very happy with his care and absolutely love Dr. Murphy. Herbie is happy to be home. He ate his supper and is doing good. Thank you, Dr. Murphy and your staff.
