Alan stoneware has beautiful pottery and the owner herself is amazing at what she does however, we (me, my sister, and our friend) took a Class And she was not very clear on direction and instructions on what to. She did not elaborate on terms for what we were doing or any explanation on why we were doing it and she kept taking over a lot. I love pottery, but this teacher made me feel very uncomfortable and Because of the lack of Communication. She also was very passive, aggressive and not direct about what she wanted from us. I do believe that that would be a good class for someone who is not a beginner and already has a lot of background knowledge. These cups that other people did, “even a nine-year-old did this amazing cup “ and that was because she (the owner) practically did the cup herself It’s not an experience for you to create your own piece . They all look identical. If you wanna go and play with some clay and then take a picture with it saying you did it although she did most of the work this is definitely the place for you.

Some of the most beautiful pottery I've ever seen. The owner is very passionate about her work, and it definitely shows. Highly recommend.

This place was horrible to me. In all my years here in Erie Pennsylvania I have never been treated so rudely. I waited for this place to open the door (which the owner was 23 minutes late) and when I went there, and asked her if she can tell me if I can make a cup for my water (watercolor) she told me no, she said she does not. I asked her a few more questions because my clients also wanted to do an art but she told me that she charges alot and for us to go to Claytopia. She looked at me like I was ignorant because of my questions, and gave me a pamphlet and said "here, you can read the information!" It was so upsetting, because she did not want us there, and 4 times she said to go to Claytopia, because she "charges too much" I guess it's best to see people true color in the beginning and not waste my money nor my time in a place that looked down on me and my clients. Very disappointed!

Had such a special New Years Eve Day with my son (11 years old) in a private Pottery class at Allen Stoneware Gallery. Vickey used the opportunity to make it very fun an educational. We learned the process & history of pottery. She was a very patient teacher and hands on! Looking forward to more classes! ? Highly Recommend

We celebrated my daughter and her best friend’s birthdays here with a clay party and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our instructors Vickie and Mark were talented, patient, and fun. We would all rate the experience 10 stars if we could!

I purchased a gift certificate for pottery lessons for my adult daughter's birthday from Vickie. It included a 3 hour private session with Vickie and we each made 3 different pieces. I felt it was a very reasonable price considering you couldn't even buy 6 pieces of stoneware for the price. Vickie is a great teacher. She explains things very well and gives you just the right amount of help. After she explained and showed me how to place my hands while working on the wheel she
