Terrible customer service. Only go here when absolutely necessary. Meat is constantly expired and I get attitude when I simply tell them. I mean, Canadian bacon over 60 days expired seriously messed up. Also things marked on sale don't ring up on sale and when I ask the employee at checkout tells me to go find a manager. I bought two sodas at the checkout in front of the register, where the signs all over the coolers says two for $4. They wouldn't adjust it and said go tell a manager?! No thanks easier to go to the competition that's literally next door. Shame too because it's more convenient, but I'd rather drive another few minutes than support this level of poor service. To be fair, I have tried to talk to folks here a few times before leaving this review. Today was the last straw as an employee told me they just don't care.

Brenda was extraordinarily difficult. Since my husband carried my beer, I was not allowed to purchase any alcohol because he carried it. I'm an adult of legal age, and she refused to sell to me because he carried it. But she allowed him to leave and then return to purchase more. Not sure why I was refused service.

It's been my go-to place for 20 years but I can't do it anymore. Please listen to your customers. All of the traditional lanes were turned over to be self checkout compatible a few years ago. Unless it's a major food shopping holiday, they keep all of them in self checkout mode except one or two until the lines get outrageous. It took a little while to catch up to you, but your reviews have been the proof in the pudding that this location is failing the customers at the front end.You need to have more than ONE register open, always. Having 10+ self-checkout Lanes open and only 1 or 2 registers staffed does not live up to the old Weis slogan of "We do what works for you!" People shop at a grocery store with full shopping carts worth of groceries. You need to have cashiers available for this. Self checkout is nice for small shopping trips, but not when I have a few hundred dollars worth of groceries.Meanwhile, giant, redner's, Dutch Way, Oregon dairy, Weavers, Martin's, Wisers, and others (all within 15 minutes) all have multiple cashiers all the time. It's starting to take a toll on your business. Please don't reply with the generic 'call our hotline' remark... It's insulting. You have your comment right here, and no further discussion is needed. Just listen to what your customer base has already said.

The last couple times I went there and got meat it was spoiled. This would be the 3rd time. I also go for my medication and it's a hot or miss if your gonna have a attitude at the pharmacy so now I just give one back

Lost my business. All lanes self checkout. That removes essential entry level jobs for the community (and don’t think it’s for lowering prices because they are just as high as ever). Won’t be returning until that changes.

I use their pharmacy and haven't run into any issues at all. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, sometimes there's a line, but great spot!

Terrible customer service. When I shop anywhere I expect to see humans at 2 or more registers, not at this place. All self check out and nothing but problems, sad thing is, people that work there don’t care. Won’t shop there again. Ever!

Good. I like Weis markets since I'm a kid with my mother in Altoona Pennsylvania 1960s

If you need gas on your way to work don’t stop here to get it. Today was the third or forth time I’ve left with no gas because the older lady working ignored the fact that I was standing right in front of her to prepay. She didn’t even acknowledge me. The last few times when I stopped it was after 7:00 am and the pumps weren’t turned on. So, if you need gas on your way to work, I suggest going to Wawa.

I have been coming to this weis for a few years now and it is my favorite local location. The facilities are always clean. The have a good selection to choose from and I enjoy their gluten free section. I like the options they have for prepared foods as well. This weis is in a convenient location right in a strip mall. There are not many grocery stores in the area and if you're going to choose a weis location I would come here.

Someone graciously gifted us with a grocery gift card for Weis. I haven't shopped at Weis in a long time. I typically go to the discount grocery stores near me, or if need be to Giant or Aldi which are right up the road.So I wasn't aware that Weis has apparently switched over to mainly self checkout. Now don't get me wrong, I actually prefer self checkout when I just have a few items. But when I have a large grocery cart full, like I did today, I definitely appreciate having an actual cashier. Now I did find out later that apparently there are at least one or two lanes that are open with a cashier. Today it was only one. But I assumed it was for 20 items or less so I didn't even go over.I struggled with that self checkout like nobody's business. I'm also currently wearing a leg brace for a possible torn meniscus. So, everything takes extra energy as it is. It took me like 20 minutes to finish checking myself out.Fortunately I didn't have anyone waiting behind me, but I would have been so embarrassed if I did. I can't imagine the self checkout lanes are efficient when the store is busy. Also, if you're going to do check out, you really need at least two people. I was trying to unload my grocery cart, ring my items, bag my items, get my items in my cart, all by myself. If you have a small order, no big deal. But my order was huge. Now I will say that the woman who was operating the customer service at the front check out area was phenomenal. And she was busy! Lots of people at the self checkout lands needed her assistance. She was patient, pleasant, and helpful in every instance that I observed. Kudos to her!And I really don't have anything negative to say about my shopping experience itself. It did take me longer because I'm not familiar with the layout of the store. And I would say the selection is a bit less than what I can find at Giant. But the prices are comparable if not better. The store was clean...and once I figured out the layout it was easy to find what I needed. So will I shop at Weis again? It's not my usual go-to. But I would be fine stopping in with a few items here and there. Will I shop for a large order there again? Probably not.

Kenny in the Deli was excellent in the Deli. Very helpful, very attentive. Give him a raise. However the person who checked me out of the Deli was another story. Standing and talking to the customer prior to me. What a contrast!!! But I will still give you a "5" because of Kenny!!!

The Ephrata Weis has a sushi chef working in the store, so there is a wide variety of sushi offerings, all fresh and very good. My favorite is "Creamy Shaggy Dog"; it is soft and easy for me to eat, and delicious. I also keep their Firefox Spicy Mayo in stock, to add zip to various foods.

This place is full of grumpy workers who don't want to do their job. Especially the self checkout and lunchmeat lady "Carol " . The self check out screams at you so loud it is unnerving . The store is kept too hot, and the radio overhead much too loud. This is not a pleasant place to shop . By the time i was finished i vowed never ever to shop at this place again . SELF CHECKOUT IS MORE CONCERNED WITH SOCIAL CHATTING TO CO WORKERS, GETTING FOOD FOR HERSELF, AND ROLLS HER EYES IF YOU ASK HER A QUESTION . TODAY FEBRUARY 1, 2023 12-TO 2PM
