I switched from CVS to Walmart pharmacy thinking I'd have a better experience than CVS and at first my experience with Walmart pharmacy was a lot better until I had my insurance do an override because of a funeral I had to be at well that upset them that they had to do extra work and then told me that they would "no longer be filling any of my medications" all because it was extra work for them to do!! Walmart pharmacy was super convenient for me because I live less than 5 minutes away from it and I can do other shopping while waiting for my medications to be refilled but since now they refuse to fill any of my past, present, and future prescriptions I will no longer be shopping at Walmart either. They lost a very loyal shopper who spent thousands of not millions there over the years!!! My business will be taken elsewhere from now on!!!

Let's see where do I start... well I have been using this pharmacy since I moved here in 2017 and I never had any issues until the last week. I had to get a refill override through my insurance company because after the 2-4 times they allowed me to pay out of pocket for my medications they told me that was no longer possible because of them getting audited by the insurance companies they could get in trouble, but how or why did they allow it the 2-4 other times than?? Also there are HIPPA laws protecting us correct? Then how can the pharmacy allow me to switch my girlfriend's pharmacy from Walmart to another pharmacy??? They are not allowed to even talk to me about her medication or her standing with the pharmacy!!!! I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere from now on!!! The Ephrata Walmart and Pharmacy is across from my house so it was super convenient for me to just walk there and go shopping there and get my medications there but not any longer!!!

I do not know if any WALMART shoppers know this "SCAM" Walmart of Ephrata in perpetrating. Do you know that when you physically go to a Walmart store to shop many of the items you buy 'e.g.' eggs are marked up much higher than if you shop online and let a Walmart employee pick your items. Yes, Walmart has a two scale, two price, system in place where your physical store purchased items cost much more than online orders. Why such a price difference?? Here is just one example:, EGGS 60 COUNT AT Physical STORE ARE PRICED AT $8.68. NOW THESE SAME BOX OF EGGS 60 COUNT PURCHASED ONLINE FROM THE SAME STORE ARE $5.72 a BOX.. This is a whopping difference of $2.96 FOR ONLY ONE ITEM.. Hey WALMART, WHAT KIND OF SCAM ARE YOU PLAYING WITH EVERYONE WHO STILL WANTS TO GO TO THE STORE AND PICK OUT THEIR OWN ITEMS????? In my opinion, the Walton family should have enough cash by now and, stop trying to take advantage of their customers........

Went in today to get vaccinated, was the only patient there. I set a stopwatch on my phone before I went in for my obligatory "social media vaccine post" where I was going to post how much time it took. This allowed me to keep track of how much time I was spending.Ladies up front were nice, as always. The guy who said he'd give me the shot... just left the room and I saw him walking around, doing other tasks, and even taking care of a customer who came up while I was waiting.Walked out after almost 40 minutes.15 minutes later they realized I was gone and called me, but I was already home. On the phone they sounded confrontational, and I had already moved on from it, so I just answered a few questions and then hung up on the person.Even the medical staff in the Army were so much more personable and professional. It's easy to be "nice" to somebody, but it's obvious that all the staff here are just running on their own sweet time and dont really think of us as patients, but customers in a queue

I had previously let a review with "Terrible inventory management" 1 star after the same monthly prescription was frequently not in stock. Today I was pleasantly surprised. After a couple months the Pharmacist was very polite and went out of his way to tell me they have been working on it and asked me if I thought it got any better. Which It has, significantly.

Everytime i shop or get curbside pick up for my medication i am always greeted with a smile, always respect and appreciation! Might i say that on a phone call they went above and beyond to help me get my medication without paying 382.00 for it. Instead i only paid 29.00. Ephrata Wal-Mart is always a pleasure and comfortable experience inside shopping or curbside pick-up, even on-line shopping and everything easy to find. Thanks to my Ephrata Wal-Mart!

Stressful each time I deal with these people. My insurance will not cover a drug that I am on. So working with the company of the med they have given a coupon. Days go by and nothing happens with my prescription. I call them and they argue with me that my insurance won't pay for it. I the. Tell them I know you have to run the coupon. They say the coupon doesn't work. Have to tell them call the 1800 number on the coupon. Weeks later I finally get the meds. What if I wanted to pay out of pocket? What if I was using a health savings to pay? Your not going to fulfill the script or even call me to tell me there is an issue? So tired of arguing with the rude wannabe techs and can never get a pharmacist. Looking for an actually pharmacy.

Walmart Pharmacy in Ephrata has the best employees I have encountered in a long time. Since Royers closed, I have been looking for a pharmacy to transfer my family's prescriptions to. I couldn't be happier with the Walmart Pharmacy department. ??

Jim the pharmacist is completely incompetent and rude! Can't even read a doctors orders and let someone who just got out of the hospital being diagnosed with diabetes without insulin because one isn't in stock and the other he just didn't bother reading or filling.

Walmart Ephrata will not honor the prices they are contractually obligated to honor - and charge almost 11X the price! When I lost my insurance a few months back, I had used GoodRX to fill my prescription once. After I signed up with a Christian cost sharing group, they offered a discount card. I searched for the price for my medicine on their website and was told Walmart would provide it for around $20. When I arrived at the Pharmacy, and asked to switch to this new discount card for the prescription, the clerk got quite angry and was very rude! "If I switch it to this and it costs more, you will have to pay that. I won't switch it back!" Given that the website had listed a price much lower than GoodRX, I said to change it. He came back and told me the price was now $217. I can understand some fluctuation in princes, but eleven times the indicated price is just wrong. The pharmacist came over and I showed him the quote on my phone. He confirmed that the quote was indeed for the correct medication but said there was nothing he could do. When I contacted the Christian cost sharing service (the person who handled the proscription discount service) she told me that... "Unfortunately, Walmart is notorious for not cooperating with our members. So are CVS and Walgreens. They are participating pharmacies but do not honor the discounted pricing that we have set up with them. Over and over, they will charge members outrageous prices. " and "We have tried to no avail to get Walmart to work with us and they refuse. Personally, I don't even understand why they are listed as a participating pharmacy. I have tried to get them removed, but for reasons I don't understand, they remain listed. " Bottom line - 1. Walmart will NOT honor the prices they are contractually obligated to honor. 2. Understand that if you are using www.chmrx.com that they will NOT honor the prices, or even come close to the prices, that are listed online. 3. Walmart does not care about helping you. They are so big that customer service means NOTHING to them. They quite simply DON'T CARE. I strongly recommend, no rather i URGE you. DO NOT USE Walmart Pharmacy. You will get much better service (and likely cheaper prices) from a smaller Pharmacy. They will even care about you are a customer. If you have prescriptions at Walmart - transfer them to another pharmacy. That is what I did!

Pharmacy hours not being followed. Stopped at 1pm on a Sunday and they are closed. Hours state 10am-6pm, no sign up as to why! People depend on a good pharmacy to be open for their life saving/life altering medications and a billion dollar company can't even do that. My family along with several others will be switching pharmacies!
