I'll never go back. I'll never recommend them.
I bought a 2013 335i x drive - BMW last April and this dealership has been nothing but problems since the day I test drove it.
At first it had oil leaks, I told them if they have the oil leaks fixed I'll take the car. A week later they said it's ready. 2 HOURS after owning the car the oil leaks were in the same areas. Took it back, took them a week to fix it; They gave me a courtesy car (audi) to drive back-and-forth to work and for my kids. On my way to work the courtesy car went into limp mode and didn't drive more than 15 miles an hour.
As for my bmw - It has constantly had drive train malfunction issues. I addressed this with them and they took the car again for another week. Mind you I have a 2 year warranty that they really pushed me to get. Everything was covered under the warranty that last time.
Fast forward about 7 months, Recently this past 2 weeks I have had issues with the drive train malfunction again, another major oil leak again, issues with the clutch and shifting into second gear and I took the car back to them. They basically told me that everything under my warranty wasn't covered and refused to give me a vehicle for my kids and I to get back and forth to work saying that, "if it only takes 8hrs to fix they don't lend out courtesy vehicles."
Well it took them another week! And all they did was "fix" the oil leak. Now for some reason when I go to measure my oil it goes to %17 and shuts off.
Every single time I have called and discussed anything with them I was always told that I will be getting a call back and I never get one. I was told 2 days ago on this date that they would be giving me a call back the next day to discuss working on my drive train, Well you can bet I haven't gotten a phone call since and I could care less if they do at this point.
This dealership is lousy, they don't care about their customers, they refuse to be accountable for anything and they're just down right unprofessional. The BMW dealerships that I have talked to about them always roll their eyes and chuckle because they know how much of a joke Sterling is. Don't waste your time, they've wasted enough of mine!

Had my car for a year with no issues. Buddy bought a vehicle from here; engine blew within 3 months. I’ve had my BMW to two different mechanic shops, both mechanics asked where I purchased my vehicle. When I told them Sterling they chuckled.

Worst dealership to buy a used car. I bought an Audi A3 on December 9th 2023 and have had issues every month since then, all issues conveniently falling outside of warranty. The car had 110,000 miles the timing chain was never re-done both sprockets had teeth missing and the chain tensioner was a 1/16th from coming out and all the guards were rotted, spools needed to be replaced and the cambridge ($2400), then the ECM starts acting up, and now I'm paying $1300 to do the rear brakes and rotors, the calipers were literally rotting, and the hoses were bad but yet new break pads were on the front with bad rotors! On top of it all the car had inspection stickers on till 2024 which is bull no shop would've passed this car with everything wrong underneath/under the hood and a missing cabin filter bad wipers etc. so they passed it themselves now I'm footing the bill!

During the first week of JUL2024, my 19-year-old son discovered Sterling Motorcar had a 2017 Volvo S60 listed on their website. My son loved this car and had been saving his money to purchase a car. During the second week of July, my son called Sterling a couple times expressing interest in the car. My son asked the dealership if we could take the car to a local mechanic on Saturday 13JUL2024. The employee said that wasn’t a problem. My son told the employee we would be driving 4 hours to the dealership that Saturday, 13JUL, specifically to see this car.
At 8:00am, on Saturday 13JUL2024, my son and I headed out on the 4-hour drive to Sterling Motorcar. We arrived at the dealership at noon. We met with an employee, explained why we were there and asked if we could look at the 2017 Volvo S60. After walking around the car, we went back inside and asked if we could take the car on a test drive and have our mechanic look at the car. The employee said yes.
We arrived at our local mechanic around 12:45-1:00pm. The mechanic began his inspection, and after about 30 minutes he said he needed to show us some error codes on the car. Our mechanic showed us approximately 12 different error codes, some were battery related, others were not. Our mechanic also noted the front rotors needed to be replaced. Our mechanic said it was possible the error codes were not cleared, and with the car sitting for an extended amount of time, it’s possible the car never had a chance to reset. Our mechanic advised us to drive the car on the freeway for a while and see if the codes would reset. Our mechanic gave us a scanner to use for our test drive.
My son and I headed out and drove all over town, on the freeway, etc. After an hour of driving, the scanner said the codes were still there. My son was devastated but felt we could speak with the dealership and see if we could negotiate during the sale. My son really liked this car.
We drove back to the dealership and sat down with an employee. As I began describing the issues with the car, another employee interrupted our conversation to ask if we were talking about the Volvo. I said yes. He stated the owner of the dealership had sold the car. I was bewildered. My son asked if they would reconsider, but the employee said no, the car had been sold. I asked how was it possible to sell a car while it was on a test drive with another customer?
I was absolutely furious with Sterling Motorcar’s lack of morals. It is clear these issues stem from the top as employees tend to mimic their leadership. How does someone sell a car while it is out on a test drive with another customer? Granted there probably isn’t a law forbidding a dealership to practice such deplorable behavior, but clearly this dealership is unethical. A man is only as good as their word, and clearly, Sterling Motorcar has shown their word is useless.
A company cannot sustain its business when they treat customers with such blatant disregard and immoral turpitude. It is clear, based on numerous customer reviews over numerous websites, Sterling’s customer service and questionable ethics are not up to par. Additionally, as I read the complaints on multiple websites, this company has been lacking for an extended period of time. Clearly, something needs to change. According to Francis (2017):
Good customer service keeps customers coming back. Bad customer service keeps customers away. It is important that a business have effective and pro-active customer service personnel and a good policy. Keeping customers happy and getting them to tell others about the great service they received, will propel a business forward, whereas a company's lackluster customer service policy will damage the reputation of the company in several ways. Ultimately, bad customer service can cause the closure of a business.
Obviously, Sterling Motorcar will survive without my family’s business, ho

Bought a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas SE with 61k miles. Walked in paid cash and walked out. Found the window not working properly they fixed it on the spot. I see a lot of bad comments and reviews on here. The only thing I can say is to know what you're buying and how to properly look over a vehicle. You want new go buy new.

If I could give them 0 stars I would Sterling Motor Cars - just bad business. I will never refer or buy a car here ever. I called about a truck my son was going to buy CASH and said we’d be there within 2 hours (had. 45 min drive) and BRAD said it was available and said to ask for him when I got there. Got there at time specified and he told me he had just sold the truck!! It’s about integrity and you give salesmen a bad name BRAD. Told me he didn’t write my name or number down of which I did give him, and there is caller ID. Disappointing place but kinda glad I didn’t have to deal with this dealership or their poor quality salespeople. Kindness matters folks even in business and this is just bad business. Not sure how you sleep at night Brad when you screw customers over for your own agenda. Shameful! With all the complaints and bad reviews about Brad… honestly not sure why you would allow him to keep working there and contributing to your company’s bad reputation?

We purchaed a car on November 3, 2023. Had it back a week later, the horn didn't work, and the rotors/brakes were bad. The car continued to get louder, so we took it to Meineke and found out that it needed a new muffler & pipe work as it had holes in it. We then took the vehicle for inspection on January 2, 2024 and we found out it failed inspection for tie rod ends and ball joints. In addition to these issues it took two months to get the title for the vehicle to be tagged. We sent invoices to the dealership, however they only paid for the repair of the tie rod ends and ball joints. I still feel they should pay for the new muffler because the vehicle would have failed inspection. It seems the only reasonable person at the dealership is the owner. He was the only person willing to listen to issues we encountered.

Great buying experience! I drove down from Upstate NY because they had the exact car I wanted, the right color, option packages, etc. at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately during the test drive, there was a minor issue with the vehicle. Brad was very apologetic, got the car back in the shop and they had it fixed within a few hours. We were on a tight schedule and were already on our way home. I was still interested in the car and Brad offered to go above and beyond to make the delivery as convenient as possible. The car is GREAT and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. They turned around an unfortunate situation and handled it like I was buying a car from a friend. Thank you!!
