Prices are great for the location and they are the only place in Emporium that has lumber on hand.

I just started working there about a month ago and I have to tell you that, these guys are the most kind and caring people you could ask for. Mike (one of the owners), has always been one to help anyone, anyway he can. I used to work there about 10-12 years ago and Mike and Linda haven’t changed much. They are very knowledgeable, patient and family oriented, down-to-earth people. God Bless and I hope to be there for a long time! Stop in and say hi! We have a little bit of everything for your building, camping or just about any project needs at a decent price!

The owners Mike and Linda go out of their way to help their customers and have supported our town and community for years! Will always do business with them.

I grew up in Emporium and have since moved ~10 hrs away. When I am in town, I am usually working on my camp or doing some odd jobs for my parents. I have found L&M to be pretty over priced, but I understand that is the cost of the convenience of being able to get some/most of your supplies in town (other wise you have a 30 - 60 minute drive to get to a larger building supplies store). Their service has always been resonable but bordering on rude. I'm there to buy tools or building supplies, so I'm not looking for smiles and cupcakes. I don't, however, want to feel like I'm a bother when I can't find what I am looking for. My most recent experience was very disappointing. Their flyer advertises "Free Local Delivery", but I was charged a $15 delivery fee. Other, permanent residents, on the same road were not charges a delivery fee in the recent past. I try to continue to by local and support the small businesses over the big box stores, but this is not the customer service that I expect. I have found South Park Supply (also in Emporium) to have a better selection in some areas and they will get more of my business in the future.
