My family was coming here since the 1980's with Dr. Eid and Gloria. When Dr. Eid retired, it was a pleasure to meet Dr. Payne. We knew right away that our pets were in excellent hands. When Dr. Payne left to go another local VCA, we followed him there. Luckily, we continued to follow him when he transferred back. The staff and doctors were always so welcoming and knew you like family. Recently, they had a high turnover and prices skyrocketed. At least two vets and nine vet techs are gone! Even Gloria, who worked here over 40 years is gone. This should tell you something!Run! Corporate doesn't care about your pet and the staff. If I could leave a zero star, I most certainly would.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!I have a 12 year old calico cat, Honey, who means everything to me. Last week, (three days before I'm set to go out of town) Honey started to look unwell. Honey is established with a different local vet but that office isn't open on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.I came upon VCA Emmaus's website and I was thrilled to see they allowed online scheduling of appointments! Even for new patients who had never been to the office before! So, Honey and I rolled up to the office on Friday at 8:00 a.m., with no medical history, paperwork or records from our usual vet.I expected this to be an issue but they proceeded with the history I was able to give them and just focused on helping my cat. Dr. Blair Mitchell, DVM and Stephanie the vet tech were amazing!I just couldn't believe how kind, respectful and just plain nice everyone was! Another thing I really appreciated... the office was very up front with me about what each service or test was going to cost. This information was offered to me in a zero-pressure and non-judgmental manner.I work in healthcare (for humans) and I found myself wishing more human medical offices worked like this veterinary office. I am so grateful for the help and kindness VCA East Penn in Emmaus extended to me and my cat Honey.

Not a fan. Always wanting to get expensive testing and using scare tactics...not cool

I have been coming to VCA since I was a very young kid with my mom and dad. My family has always brought our dogs here. Currently, as an adult, I have a mixed breed & a German Shepard I bring. They have always been just an amazing group of people. The staff is awesome. Believe it or not, there is a lady that works the front desk that has been there 30+ years. She actually remembers my mom and dog we had when I was like 10 years old. I'm currently 45. That's awesome! I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend East Penn, especially if you have a dog that is very afraid of people, animals, pretty much life in general. Thank you VCA.

1 have spent almost 400.00 dollars on a simple checkup and a couple bottles of pills, so you can just guess how upset I was when they chaged me just about 40.00 bucks to get my pups nails cliped feel should have been free like in some other Vets we visited. So long story short this is my last visit with them its just greed.

The people here are always nice, but their prices have increased exponentially. At the beginning of the month, I had my dog's anal glands expressed and it was only $35. Today, we went to have it done again and it was $75. I'm just not going to be able to go to this vet anymore. I can't afford their prices.

I am so impressed with how my dog and I were treated this morning! The front desk staff were super friendly, along with the tech and doctor. It was my first time there and I have never been explained as much at any other vet. Dr Mitchell was amazing, and seemed to really care and want to help me and my pup! I have heard it was more expensive but I believe you definitely get what you pay for. Also, I was able to schedule this appointment late at night, online. I trust them completely! Thank you so much!

After having very bad adoption experience with the Lehigh Valley Humane Society, my experience here made me feel a lot better. We adopter our cat and at the time of adoption she had 0 issues health-wise. After a week of waiting for the shelter to spay her with little to no communication, we picked her up and found that she contracted some kind of respiratory infection. We brought her here and the experience was amazing. Everybody was so nice and performed all the necessary testing. Thank you so much!

Dr Payne is the absolute best vet in the Valley! The entire staff is so caring and they always take their time to explain everything. Thanks for doing what you do! Thanks for putting up with cranky Reggie who doesn't like anything you try do! And Lincoln thinks coming to see you is one of the best things in the world!
