We were thrilled to work with BDK Mint to organize our Paebaek for our wedding day! They were incredibly responsive and communicative throughout the process and were wonderful from start to finish. From the day of our fitting for our hanboks with Jeoung to the actual ceremony itself, we could not have asked for more. On the day of our wedding, Jessica and Sylvia were unforgettable hosts, both kind and energetic, putting any nerves we may have had to ease. They have perfected the art of running a paebaek, maintaining the importance of the traditions while also modernizing the experience. A large number of our guests were not Korean, but Jessica made sure to explain the meaning behind each custom and engage everyone who was present. On a day full of so many beautiful moments, our paebaek was one of the most memorable. We are immeasurably grateful to the entire team at BDK Mint.

Jessica was so amazing to work with!!! My husband and I have crazy schedules and she was able to accommodate us when we had to try on our hanboks. The store was beautiful and the quality is unmatched. Our guests loved the paebaek ceremony. Jessica was so professional and the whole process was so smooth. 100% recommend!!

My husband and I worked with Jessica and Sylvia to incorporate a paebaek ceremony into our wedding day. From day one, Jessica was super communicative and happy to clarify anything and everything. Our guests have all mentioned that the paebaek ceremony was their highlight of our wedding day.

We used BDK for both of our mothers' hanboks and for our Paebaek, and it was probably one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The hanboks came out beautifully -- honestly, everything we and our moms wanted. But the Paebaek was the true highlight. It was fun, engaging, and our guests absolutely loved it. We got so many compliments from both our Korean and non-Korean guests. 1000% recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Jessica for a Paebaek ceremony for a wedding that I wast the DJ for. Jessica was a joy to work with from start to finish. She took the initiative to reach out to me prior to the wedding to ensure that I knew the ins and outs of the ceremony, plus music and audio requirements. She was professional, communicative, and friendly. The couple and guests enjoyed the service so much that they gave a standing ovaction by the end of it. I hope to have the pleasure of working with Jessica again in the future!

We had the honor of working with BDK Mint for our wedding this past Friday (9/20/24).
Not only did they provide gorgeous rental hanboks for my grandmothers, they helped us pull off the full Paebaek ceremony in a very tight schedule and VERY last minute--these superstars got all our info/details, reached out to the venue and coordinated with the DJ and had it all ready to go in a 2 week timeline! (original plan to borrow the Paebaek hanboks fell through).
Jessica and Sylvia were our MC and attendants and they were not only super personable and helpful but also very charismatic, flexible and generous with their time.
From setup of the set, prepping us (even provided multiple hanbok options) and through the ceremony itself, they took authority over the process to make my husband and I feel comfortable and prepared for what was to come. They made all necessary announcements to the party and even went so far as to assess the setup of our venue and strategize the most effective way to make an impactful impression to garner attention and interest to attend an otherwise optional event--so much so, that our ENTIRE wedding party ended up coming in to watch, leaving the venue staff to think our cocktail hour had ended (which it hadn't)
Jessica did a fantastic job MCing the event, we had a multi-cultural crowd and she described everything so clearly and beautifully--even though I myself am Korean, I learned a lot!
As a bonus, the energy of the Paebaek really primed our guests and got them in the right vibe for the rest of the night!
Most of our non-Korean guests came up to say that watching the Paebaek was one of the coolest things they've ever witnessed and left loving and respecting the Korean tradition more than than they did beforehand (or at the very least learned about it).
Sylvia was equally amazing through the entire process and especially at preparing my husband and I with what queues she'd provide us and any last minute instructions/tips before heading out.
Both were so helpful, kind and fun to be around that even in the hustle and bustle of things, we felt completely taken care of by them and at ease! They even made sure that we were always photo-ready and patiently waited for us to take additional photos after the ceremony ended, never once making us feel rushed.
If you are considering including the Paebaek service in your wedding, we say, you absolutely should and it HAS to be with BDKMint. Beautiful Hanboks, Beautiful Ceremony, Beautiful Service overall, it was well worth it and we'll have this memory for ever.

You can easily get a hanbok on etsy or amazon for rent or to purchase. You cannot get Jessica or her mother from either service. BDK Mint is hands down the best in the business for all your hanbok and Korean household staple needs. Depending on the occasion, they tailor all your requests with such grace and are able to share your vision. Your ideas are not only accommodated, but they are also enhanced and reflected with all the nuance and subtleties of your distinct personality. I have purchased and rented exclusively with BDK for over 10 years for 4 different occasions and I will never go elsewhere. The most recent occasion was a family wedding for my cousin where many family members borrowed hanboks from fellow church members or rented from Etsy. BDK Hanboks blew those hanboks out the water – they were by far superior in quality, style, and not to mention stunning. BDK Hanboks were reminiscent of royalty, class, and a higher standard. Don’t go anywhere else, you will regret it if you have an event where you want to be memorable and you want to feel beautiful.

Jessica planned the whole ceremony, walked us through it, helped us prepare (shout out to Sylvia too!), setup a wonderful setting and MC'ed the whole ceremony to keep all my non-korean side of the family understanding what was going on.The custom hanboks made by Jeoung were amazing, and fantastic craftsmanship. While I thought I looked pretty damn good, my wife looked stunning. The whole process of helping pick the design and fabrics and everything was a great time, and they were very patient with us and make all the time needed to help us get the perfect outfits for the perfect day!

Literally we would recommend BDK Mint to everyone! They are so organized, helpful, and super responsive. They answered all of our questions and made sure that everything went smoothly and seamlessly. From setting up for the ceremony to helping both of us put on the traditional garments. Everyone raved about the Paebaek Ceremony with BDK Mint! They even did such an amazing job explaining everyone in both Korean and English. It was so much fun and such an overall amazing experience. Even my husband who wasn't sure about having the ceremony had a blast! Cannot thank them both enough for everything!!

Highly recommend BDK Mint! Jessica and her mom are true experts in custom hanbok and so warm and generous. From our first ineraction to final fitting, everything was fantastic. I was nervous because I'd never worn, bought, or been fitted for hanbok and felt a bit self-conscious about my lack of knowledge in this area. I also opted for a more gender-neutral design -- a choice that was honored and embraced by Jessica and her mom. At every point I felt seen and welcomed by them and I cannot recommend them enough!
