Playful Pups is my top choice for dog kennel in the Hershey area. The staff are incredibly friendly and obviously love their jobs. My dog is remembered by the staff who know him by name. Their prices are high compared to Rover, but the facility is clean, welcoming and offers a variety of optional activities for the dogs. My dog always gets excited to go to Playful Pups for overnight boarding and comes home afterwards having been well loved and played with.

Our puppy Tucker had his first stay here this weekend and loved it! We were nervous at first, but the staff took such good care of him and provided daily updates with all of his fun activities. He will be returning this summer for sure!

Playful Pups Retreat took excellent care of my girl. Being older she has some age related mobility problems which PPR handled very nicely with loving care. This is an elite level facility for pet owners desiring the best in boarding.

This is my first time boarding my 9 month old dog Bennett and although I’ve boarded other dogs at other locations, this experience was fantastic. Not only did my dog come out smelling lovely from his bath, but the customer service was top-notch, and he got home and there was none of that, crazy behavior that I had experienced with other dogs. He was calm, happy and I loved seeing the pictures of him on his nature walks. He goes to Playful Pups for doggy daycare and training and I feel the experience at both locations is always consistently fantastic. I never have concerns leaving my dog with these groups of amazing individuals.

This place was absolutely amazing. My puppy had a blast. There was never a time he wasn’t doing something. They shared his experience with me through pictures on Facebook. This was so nice because i was able to check on him and see what he was doing. I couldn’t have asked for a better boarding place for my puppy. I definitely recommend this place, and i will be using them again in the future!

I was extremely nervous boarding my 7 year old pup Rocko for the first time. He is an anxious boy, and I wasn’t sure how he would do. I can confidently say the staff at playful pups are awesome and it was obvious they cared for him like he was their own. I would highly recommend playful pups, and would absolutely board rocko here again!

I feel very comfortable leaving my little Diva in their care. Playful Pups make it so easy to make a reservation for several overnight stays for Stella. I know she will be well taken care of for her first time away from me overnight. Thank you all!

Ice was taken care of by great people. Ice is a German Shorthair and he has had a great life. He will be 15 on Dec 21,2023. Your staff did keep us posted on his stay and on any special needs we requested.

I was nervous to board Chloe because of her previous living situation. Playful pups made the whole entire process easy and made me feel at ease. I loved seeing the photo’s that were posted for me! I also called to check in on Chloe to make sure she was eating and they gave me an overview of how she was doing and told me to call anytime! I’m so happy my neighbor recommended playful pups, I will continue to board Chloe there when I go away. We took a long nap when we go home! ?

We absolutely LOVE giving our furbaby a vacation at Playful Pups while we are on our own vacation! We love that our pupIs in a spacious private room and we can purchase up to three activities for her! Group Playtimes are 45min each! PPR posts awesome pics of the pups at play on their Facebook site and we look forward to seeing pics of our pup posted there! They have so much fun! On the day of check out, we can purchase a spa appt for her. They give her a bath and trim her nails too! Absolutely worth every penny! The staff are all so sweet and such animal lovers! Highly recommend PPR!!

We had our dogs boarded for the 2nd time ever here, and they were happy dogs. We got pictures sent to us of our dogs during there stay. They also have a digital report card for our dogs letting us know how each day went for them.

Our Princess Ember was well cared for while we were on vacation! She enjoyed her nature walks and brainy games daily. We enjoyed seeing pictures of her on the FB page. Thank you Playful Pups for taking such great care of her!

We've boarded our aussie mix with Playful Pups twice. Last year, they took excellent care of her, even though she was still recovering from a surgery. This year she was healthy, and we were able to enjoy our family trip knowing she was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place for your 4-legged friend when you are away and can't take them with you. You can see pictures of their time there and even get a report card with how they did.
