Purchased a 2012 Ford Escape in Florida on Dec 2022 for my teenage granddaughter as a Christmas present. Had it shipped to Effort.
Her mom took it to Ford for state inspection. Where they told her it needed a new exhaust system for $900.
A friend recommended Family Auto. Upon inspection FA said "It did not need a muffler"
"It passed inspection".
Fast forward to June 2024. I had FA replace the muffler n pipes along with a oil change.. Eventhough it could have waited. They performed the work at a great price.
They also replaced the hood that accidentally opened while driving. My fault for not closing it fully. FA found a matching hood and installed it at a reasonable cost.
Family Auto is a Honorable Business with great employees, whom I will recommend to everyone. They also honored me with a Veterans Discount.

This shop fixed some cosmetic issues (cops don’t like to see cracked bumpers apparently) and got my inspection and oil change. They are so nice and honest. And it’s so convenient that they are so close and I don’t have to drive far. I trust them and appreciated their hard work and general friendliness.

I came up from Philadelphia and had some problems with my truck and I was very nervous. I went into Family auto and they treated me like they knew me forever put my truck up on the lift right away showed me everything that was going on even made sure that I got home. I wish they were around the corner from my house because I wouldn’t use anybody else but them, unbelievable customer service.

Excellent service. They were very kind, helped to give me the best and most reasonable options available, and eased my worries. Continued to check in and make sure everything was going fine, even after my car was no longer in their hands, and had been moved to a dealership for repairs under warrantee. Thank you!

Everyone is hurting in this economy. There's no reason why you have to hurt the little guy more. 155$ for labor on an oil change and inspection with emissions? If you think that's a good price you can go to Family Auto paying a total of 250$ for inspection and oil change. Lead Mechanic is an honest guy if you deal with him. The owner wants to screw you over. His own words when confronted were "it's disgusting how much everything went up" it is disgusting. You are.

Great experience! I took a shot two days before Christmas to get a last minute oil change...stopped in... They told me to give them 30 and they would do the oil change!Down to earth staff, nice conversation while waiting... Made me feel comfortable /welcome... And this is the main reason why I'll be back!Great bunch of guys!

I do not recommend this place. I went to change the oil and they didn't get all the oil out of the engine. They left 3 quarters oil in the engine. and they fill it with 8 quarters above the 3 quarters the they left on engine. Right now I don't know if the motor or engine works. This happened October 26. They charge me $147 just to damage my engine.
