if I could give a "no star" review I would! The nurse who was supposedly caring for my daughter had not been into see her, but I had time to state her children couldn't be in the room with her because of a safety issue. The kids were literally sitting on the floor in the corner. She had been there the night before, saw the blockage in her intestine, sent her home anyway....... then state they can't be in her room. Had someone done their job correctly the night before we would not have been back today. Then to state I snuck her children in was absolutely ridiculous! I have never had a positive experience at this hospital, never! A woman wNt into the hallway, was told to get back in her room they were ordering her test and the poor woman stated she had been waiting since 6am for that to be done - she was scolded at 4:15pm!

I receive very expensive injections for treatment of migraine 4 times a year. The actual providers are wonderful but the billing department is the absolute worst! I am a participant in a program that covers the cost of the portion that my health insurance does not cover, called Ipsen Cares. For 3 rounds of my injections in a row, St Luke's billing department failed to send the claims to that program, and instead sent the bill to my AblePay account, automatically charging the balance (over $800 each time) to my credit card. I sent NUMEROUS messages to the billing staff via the St Luke's My Chart app. I received several responses specifically stating the funds would be refunded to me. Then, Sean Lacarcic contacted me via email stating that I needed to contact the cost share program to check the status of the original (March 2022) claim, stating they received no response from their May 2023 claim submission. One would think that as a biller, they would take the onus upon themselves to follow up if they didn't receive payment. But, I called the program and was told that they never received a submission in May and stated that the claim submitted earlier was denied because St Luke's failed to include all the necessary paperwork with that claim submission. So I emailed Sean back to inform him of this information to which he responded that the claim was AGAIN submitted. I later emailed him again to ask about the 2 additional bills that were charged to my AblePay account that were promised to me in previous emails. Sean then responded that I would not receive refunds until they received payment from the cost share program. I have very little faith in the idea that St Luke's billed those properly since they screwed up the March 2022 claims and AGAIN Sean told ME to call the program to check the status of the claims. I responded, questioning where I should send an invoice for the time I have had to expend to ensure THEIR jobs get done. I doubt I will receive response. If this doesn't get straightened out ASAP, my next steps are calling the Better Business Bureau and my attorney.

I am writing this email because of the disappointment of some of the staff provided to my wife and daughter. We arrived there Friday and thru Saturday noon, the nurses that attended to us were excellent. I was really appreciative of their work and attention to my wife and daughter. Saturday the a PCA by the name of Steve came and he began shattering that experience When he came in the room not once he introduced himself to us or what was doing, as everyone else had before him. I didn't think much of it, and we were so exhausted that didn't make much of it. Saturday afternoon we had some visitors come and they brought some balloons to celebrate the birth of our daughter. No one that came to the room mentioned anything to us about it, until PCA Steve came to the room. His first reaction when he saw the balloons were "all looked fine until I saw the balloons, they have to go by 1800; because there are some doctors and nurses that are allergic to latex and they can have seizures". We (my wife and I) found it a bit strange, simply because no one mentioned it to us, and we didn't know. I told him that I would move it to the car if we didn't get to leave to day (since my wife was not feeling well). A few hours later a nurse came in to check in with us and she mentioned the same thing about the balloons, and another PCA named Mary said that we were lucky that the people that allergic are not in the working to day. I challenged the nurse and I asked her if this was a hospital Policy or something that you tell patients? She didn't answer the question, bottom line it was not a policy. It was aggravating, unreasonable and disrespectful of your staff to behave in that manner. We didn't allow the people on the floor, your staff did. when they came on the floor, how come your staff didn't address it? Why did they open the door? you could see thru the doorbell camera that they were carrying a ballon. My wife felt rushed, and she wasn't feeling well, is this how a top 100 hospital which you claim to be supposed to be performing? Is this the training that you provide your staff? I am extremely disappointing on how just a few bad PCA's ruined what it was supposed to be a wonderful experience,

Wouldn't take my dog here. Anderson campus being the worst with rude med surg. Floor staff. Not to mention understaffed. My step father had been treated poorly in his 2 day stay. Do yourself a favor.. save yourself the aggravation..the rudeness of staff and incompetence and go to Lehigh Valley. You will thank yourself!

I am a Covid survivor I was in the hospital long time and was in therapy for 15 months for physical therapy. I am now going to St. Luke’s gym and the trainers have been wonderful with me. The gym itself is very clean and it has a lot of different equipment for all different levels. I am very pleased with it .

I visited St. Luke's after being referred from an emergent care doctor because I felt a pain in both legs and I was afraid of blood clots. I mentioned to him that I had had a strange feeling in my chest and was just kind of freaked out. The emergent care doctor sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound which he didn't possess. He also suggested I mention the heart thing so I wouldn't have to wait so long, as we were having a blizzard that day. He said because there was so little he could do he wouldn't be billing me. He did. That's a different story. The emergency doctor assured me that I wouldn't be able to feel the blood clots where I felt I was feeling them, as he thought they were my tendons, not veins. At no time did I say that I was having a problem of any significance with my heart, just the afore mentioned weirdness. I was there for 4 hours, mostly due to a blood test that needed to be repeated after 3 hours. I saw the doctor very briefly and most test were completed in the first hour. I had to find the doctor again to finally be able to find out why I was still there (that's when he told me about the blood test timing). The nurse was lovely. The bill was close to $14,000. In calling the hospital to ask what the hell, I got a deadpan, no empathy employee. The My Chart for St. Lukes continues to send me emails regarding the bill. In the meantime, none of my charts, test results, or bills are on the My Chart account. I have sent a number of emails trying to get some info, and get the same deadpan, non-helpful information. The charmer in billing gave me the IT number for My Chart. The chances of my going back to the emergency room are pretty slim. I think they could discuss the magnitude of their billing prior to performing the services. I was perfectly able to at least have said, "no, I'll pass". $4400. of that bill was listed as ER visit with significant threat to life or function. Basically, it cost me my entire deductible to verify what both doctors felt and expressed was probably nothing.
