Everything you dream about when someone says "bed and breakfast". Well kept rooms, quiet, and friendly staff knowledgeable about the local area. Great breakfast selection and excellent coffee. Easy walking distance to Lafayette College, walkable distance to downtown.

We had a great experience. The food was excellent. Our room was a bit quirky so I had to be careful to not bump my head on the sloped part. Very much enjoyed the skylight.Food & drinks: Breakfast was included and was all fresh.

Was visiting LaFayette College for a tour with family. Great location, EV charging on site, wonderful breakfast and nice rooms. A very good experience.

This place is in a great location but needs a serious update...rooms are very "granny" and even smell old. Breakfast was good. Rooms bad.

I had to visit family in Phillipsburg, NJ and the two accommodations that came up in my search nearby were the Grand Eastonian and the Lafayette Inn. I decided to go with the Inn because it seemed more charming. Boy, am I glad I did! The place is beautiful, warm, and inviting. I absolutely loved the complimentary breakfast that varied daily and the dining room with views of the grounds and surrounding area. Steel (Inn keeper extraordinaire) was very friendly and helpful. My favorite part of the inn was my room (#34). I literally wish my own bedroom has features like a skylight (that can open up and has a retractable shade!) and a window seat (very cozy for reading/browsing). I also loved that the bathroom had a window (and separate heater). A bathroom window is very hard to come by in most accommodations. Would definitely recommend and this will be my go-to from now on when visiting family in the area. All the rooms are unique, so itll be fun to experience some of the others; although my heart right now is with room 34. Thanks Steel for a pleasant stay!

Fantastic historic BnB set in a charming neighborhood close a two short blocks from the college. Superb service, beautiful rooms, exceptional tasty breakfast...very relaxing, with helpful owner offering great ideas on local attractions, etc. Will definitely return!
