Refused to cut my daughter's hair because we have to wear masks due to her getting very ill in the past from covid Didn't even ask why we were wearing them! So ridiculous

My first experience with Rebecca was last year three days before Thanksgiving. Due to a scheduling error, I wasn't made aware that my appointment was cancelled. Imagine my horror when I arrived 3 days before the start of the holidays desperate for a cut and color and my stylist had called out. Rebecca was gracious enough to fit me in between an already full schedule of her own clients. I left the salon with one of the best salon experiences I've had in years. Since then, she has worked with me to transition to a new hair color (which I love) and her precision cuts never disappoint. New appointments book far out in advance but it's well worth the wait.

New to the York area, and after a couple trial and errors elsewhere, decided to try Midtown. I found out that the online reviews I had read are spot-on. After a thorough consultation where she asked questions and listened to my answers and preferences, Rebecca did a fantastic job with the cut and color. I've found my new place!!

Rebecca is so amazing with her skills! I drive 3 hours to get my hair done by her. My hair was in such bad shape last week & after sitting in her chair, I feel like I have a new head of hair! She is so talented.

Best in the business. Great environment. Friendly staff.I used to go to a barber downtown for my “Macklemore” haircut. I wanted to get out of the faded sides and get a different look. I trusted the team at Midtown and have never looked back.Great for men’s cuts.

I have been going to Midtown since 2017 and I have never had a service or cut I didn’t love when I left. They truly listen to their clients and do amazing work. I was so blessed to be able to get my hair and my bridesmaids hair done by them for my wedding this year.

Rebecca is an amazing owner and stylist. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair ( as a former cosmetologist that no longer does hair , I can be picky) . She’s very professional and goes above and beyond to make the salon atmosphere feel like home, always very welcoming and kind. I have been going to midtown since 2017. The owner, Rebecca remains my favorite hair stylist ever. Midtown has a welcoming feel and I always leave feeling pampered, heard, and my hair cut and color is always beyond what I had hoped/imagined. Midtown and Rebecca's passion for what they do is obvious. I would recommend Midtown to anyone (hence why I'm sharing a review on here)!

I found Midtown shortly after I moved to York. I was looking for something close, reasonably priced, and clearly someone that was great with color. I started going last August. I had a whole new look when I left and Erin was the reason for that. I noticed very quickly the energy was weird. I work in this field so picking up in things is just want comes natural. Howver, I wanted to give it a go. it felt like the stylists were "trying" to enjoy themselves, but something was off. I said it from the first time I was in there, I don't like the owner at all. However, I brought my daughter, 2 of my sister in laws went there, along with a few friends. I noticed Erin seemed a bit more quiet than usual, then out of no where she is no longer there. I was told to pick someone else that that they had to choose from. umm.....okay, this is your hair, you just don't blindly "pick one," but I did and decided to work with Justise, and I'm glad I did. she is amazing!!!! My daughter chose Sophia, and my sister in laws went with Emily and Justise. they are all amazing women and very talented. Still, the energy continued to get worse in there. Next Emily and Sophia are gone, then Bri, then Justise. WTH! make this make sense. These are young women, some straight out of school or at least new to the world of hair. I can't imagine bringing in these young women that want to build their confidence, clientele, and respect, only to be belittled, treated very unkindly, and then canned. YES, canned!!!! all this in a matter of months. That speaks volumes about management. What kind of person does that to these women who are working so hard, god forbid they are sick or have an emergency. That's not allowed! What grown women does this to impressionable, young women. if you want to spend way too much money in York, Pa with a place that your stylist isn't promised to be there the next time, I advice you look elsewhere. Rebecca, clearly helping young women isn't your strong suit! and for the girls there now, if any, have a back up plan. From your first day, your days are numbered. Please don't respond, I'm one of the few in this world that CANNOT be manipulated. Tiffany Geppi

I started working at Midtown when I was 14 years old in high school as an assistant. Now, I am 20 and in my second year of college. During my time as an employee at Midtown, the owner has invested a tremendous amount of time into me, not only encouraging me to be the best version of my self at work, but also in my personal life as a student. Midtown has always been set apart due to the owner’s vision of a team oriented atmosphere amongst employees. This type of atmosphere allows employees to learn from each other’s clients and hair techniques, allowing their hair service to be top tier.My great experience at Midtown has me returning to the salon for both beautiful hair cuts/colors and a summer job!If you are looking for a salon that invests in your hair AND cares about you as an individual client, this is the salon for you!Services: Updos
