“Wonderful place to take a walk or to do some flower photography. It's completely free admission which is partly why I am giving it 5 stars. The gardens lack visual attractions as you would get in a place like long wood gardens reduces the visual appeal. I went there in September, plan to return in October as I think the fall and spring would be the best times to go. Anyway definitely worth a visit and possibly a few visits throughout the year.Restrooms: They have a building for rest rooms.”

“I attend the bingo events here. They raise money for various things within the organization. It's a fun atmosphere. They also sell snacks and drinks during the event. They also raffle off about 4 or 5 prizes and do a 50/50. ATM on the premises as well.”

“The AFTD has been hugely helpful in navigating my family’s journey with Frontotemporal Degeneration, a rare, but unforgiving type of early-onset dementia. The AFTD website includes a plethora of useful information regarding everything from research that is being done to long-term care and advocacy support for families.”

“If you are a senior citizen and sitting alone in your home with nothing to do but read or watch TV, you are missing out on something really great! Journey's Way is the place you need to visit. A senior center with more things to do than you can imagine, this is where you need to come to really start living again! There is virtually something for everyone, and I know this to be true because I have been a member there since 2011. I originally joined to learn how to play bridge but over the years, I've done so many different things there that I have yet to join the bridge group! Music, art, crafts, reading, writing, discussion groups, help with modern technology (computer, iPhone, iPad help), jewelry making, and so, so much more - you really need to stop in and talk to Mark Weber, who will arrange for a guided tour of the place. Some people like to just come for lunch or bingo, and that is perfectly fine, too. Yes, we offer bingo each week, and have delicious luncheon meals every day there. There are many specials that happen at JW as well - far too many things to do to list here! Call or stop in and if you like it, you can join. Membership is not mandatory, but it does grant certain privileges. You do not need to be alone anymore. Come meet and make some new friends and see how great being a 'senior ager' can be.”

“What a great shop! They have a wonderful selection of gifts, including things for adults, kids, and babies. They also have a wonderful selection of locally made gifts (only place I've ever seen Bryn Mawr-themed items!) and Philadelphia sports-themed items. I got all my holiday shopping done in one stop! I also got to meet Eric who was wonderful, and he helped me pick out the perfect gift for my mother. I was also glad to hear about the wonderful work the shop supports. Their new space is beautiful and welcoming; I can't recommend this shop enough! Of note, their address in Yelp is incorrect. They are now located at 814 W. Lancaster Ave (right down the street from the Bryn Mawr film institute).”

“Beautiful area, but if you are going for creek access to walk along the edge of the shore/creek than you won't find hardly any of that to access, also signs prohibiting wading in the watee so that was a disappointment. Otherwise it's a great area.”

“Went to see the play "Little Women" here last night. It's very small and intimate. You walk in and it feels like a middle school. You won't be sure you are in the right place. Looks like they do pottery classes as well. The cast was fantastic. I think there were a few people here that will go on to do larger productions. If that really is the measure of success. I personally love the stripped down atmosphere. There are not huge set change outs, elaborate costumes, or big band scores. The play relies on the actors ability to evoke emotion and tell a story. This is a very different experience from larger productions and if you live in the area it's the perfect little escape. Get out for a few hours. Support your local playhouse. You can't buy an experience off Amazon. Yet....”

“If you want to give your kids a lifelong love for the game please I implore you to sent them to Legacy. The program for munchkins are well designed for fun and also most importantly the fundamentals in the game. I’m very much impressed with the drills that are used on 4-7 year olds. I wished I had this as a child. The ratio of coach to kids were 1 to 4 on average depending on the day but not more than 1 to 6.”

“I sought this park out because I saw it affiliated with others I’ve visited. Lots of well-maintained, wooded trails with attractive bridges over the stream. Closed on Wednesdays, but it luckily happened to be open when I stumbled through.”

“Surrey consignment shop is one of those places I’ve been going to for years. I realized I had never left a review after I had been in the other day. There are always so many cool things to look at in this place and the stock rotates a lot because things are priced to sell. Funds raised go towards the nonprofit which runs the store, Surrey Services. Surrey provides all sorts of amazing care and services to senior citizens. The store is staffed by volunteers. So those lovely older ladies you see when you go in are ALL volunteers. It’s a really nice experience to go in there even if you don’t find anything because the store is welcoming and so is the staff. And if you are a vintage and antique treasure hunter like me, it is an awesome spot to find something you might not have known you were looking for—— or a gift! Some of my favorite things that I always find there is cool, vintage jewelry, and I have found a couple of my favorite straw hats there and I love vintage purses. Also rugs and furniture. Specifically chairs. I often have chair envy when I’m in there looking for stuff. Wishing I had more room but I don’t.Anyway check it out!”

“Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) shares the vision of their founder and creator Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a cure for all children with cancer. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was 4, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front yard lemonade stand. Her plan was to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first "Alex's Lemonade Stand," was held with the help of her older brother Patrick, and raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. While bravely fighting her own cancer, Alex continued to set up lemonade stands every year. As news spread of the remarkable girl so dedicated to helping other sick children, people everywhere were inspired to start their own lemonade stands, donating the proceeds to her cause. In 2004 when Alex passed away, at the age of 8, her stand and inspiration had raised more than $1 million towards finding a cure for the disease that took her life. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. You can donate online, at your local Applebee's or at other places online or in person. Everyone can help ALSF move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! For more info: alexslemonade.org/about-…”

“Excellent quantity of goods and very well organized. The displays make it easy to look at each item without everything being piled up on top of each other. The prices are excellent as well. It's a great place to pick up something knowing that you're making a small contribution to a good cause.”
