Yesterday I went to the drive thru. I sent the container and sat there. A few minutes after someone pulled up in a keep and the teller must have known them. They talked for a while and then they pulled out. I was just sitting there. 10 minutes I waited because I was not friends with the teller. Customer service was horrible. I will drive to Elmhurst as the service is great.

It's absolutely horrendous that this institution will not offer a bank account for somebody like me who has had issues with credit in the past, hardworking American like myself who is just trying to survive is denied a bank account at this institution because my credit was not up to par for their standards, I'm a professional and management and also a radio personality and will love and cannot wait to talk about how evil and terrible this institution was to me!! Shame on you.

This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.

I took out a large loan for a medical procedure. I set up an auto-debit from my bank account so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Twice in the year, they deducted 2x the monthly payment. Because the payments were so large, for the first time in 20 years of banking, I received a bounced check fee. I finally decided to take out a home equity loan to pay the whole thing off. Recognizing that I could run into issues again, I paid the current month's payment ahead of my bank paying off the total payoff amount. I received a call today saying I'm overdue for 18 days on my payment. I explained that my bank paid off the amount. They claim they haven't received the check but when they do, they will as a courtesy, wave the $5 late fee. Both NBT Bank and my bank say it's the other's fault and somehow I have to pay for their mistakes. How generous of them to wave a $5 fee when they're making thousands off my loan. Never again. If you do have to take a loan with NBT Bank, do yourselves a favor and don't set up the autopay through them. Do it through your own bank.
