Took my tdi jetta to this place to see if they could figure out what the clanging noise was. Ended up replacing cv axles. Said to have looked over vehicle saying engine had a flat spot at around 3500 rpm saying he was taking car to a place in hbg to have checked out .Well by my miles in car that didnt happen and by all the dirt on top cove no bolts where taken off.He deals strictly cash and now i see why. Charged me for service that wasnt done. Also recommended me running a much heavier oil in this vehicle that nearly every mechanic said that be a very big mistake. Also said i need to invest in a turbo for this car well into the 1k range for the part.Needless to say my issue after taking elsewhere was a fuel pump and a cracked hose up near the turbo. Car runs like a champ but yet this place says there well knowledge on these vw.don't take me wrong he did fix my clanging by replacing cv axles but everything else would have cost me big time when not needed.. To me you took me for a ride and be the last. To those whom seek this place for work id be very cautious at to doing business with. Maybe the BBB and the Attorney General office may like to hear about this place .Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dave is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic with decades of experience. He never has let me down keeping my 55 year old VW bus running. In fact, if I am planning a long trip in my bus, I make sure I have Dave check it over and troubleshoot any potential problems. I drove several 700-mile trips with no issues thanks to Dave.

Reliable, trustworthy and explains everything on my vw. I had a small issue regarding a part and he replaced it at no cost to me. Part was a manufacture defect. I'm glad I called him back to check it out.

2002 Volkswagen Eurovan Timing Chain Replacement- I literally looked for ten years to find someone willing and competent enough to replace the timing chain on one of the love's of my life- to the chagrin of my actual wife. After over ten thousand miles, I'm confident in saying the job was absolutely done correctly. In fact, with all the other improvements completed while doing the timing chain, my van has never run this well. Or as Dave states, "it runs like it should." He is honest, prices are fair, and work is impeccable. I tow it about 90 miles to have it worked on, but I get piece of mind. He is in a beautiful location near the most picturesque portion of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania. Dave is a Volkswagen and Porsche old school specialist who was born with a wrench in his hand. While he can only make fruit loops in the kitchen, he can cook up a mean batch of Volkswagen and Porsche in the garage. If only I had picked up a diesel years ago.
