The inventory here has diminished significantly over the years, particularly the once extensive sci fi, section upstairs, which is being overtaken by an annoyingly outsized romance section. And don't ask to use the bathroom. They pretend not to have one and make you go down the street to Starbucks. But they look at you like you were crazy for asking.

Really great used book store with an impressive amount and excellent variety of books both contemporary and much older, for all ages and interests. There are two separate shops in one, with two floors worth of books. They also offer the option to make appointments to buy books. The staff were super friendly and the whole experience was great. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Love Central Books- For the most part we continually trade out for new books each visit. I love uncovering unexpected stories and authors I may never have come across. Clean store, current titles, nice array of categories. Relaxing environment. Go to their website to schedule your trade in appointment. Parking out back.

I never walk out without one book...usually 3-4! Paying less than half price for a book that looks like new is the best!

Fantastic book store. In fact, it's my favorite bookstore. Prices are fantastic, and they even at times carry newer releases.Great staff and overall great experience! I always highly recommend anyone to check it out. You never know, the book you're looking for could be here and for a great price!

You can lose yourself poking around in this great Local bookstore. Best to visit when you have time to enjoy.

Incredibly rude staff. It also smells bad. The lady at the counter pretends the books are super rare and valuable; well they're not.

My husband and I visited recently and noticed that there is a separate area for buying books on the right side of the store (through a little gate). We were blown away at the wide selection of books available here! Could have spent hours browsing through the shelves and paging through classics I haven't picked up in years. We left with a bag full of books that we can't wait to read. So happy we stopped by!

Central Books is by far my favorite book store in the entire world. 90% of my books on my bookshelf come from this store. They have the best math books ever!

I walked by this bookstore a million times and finally went inside. It's in a cute little building and has two floors and multiple rooms with books. What I like about this bookstore is everything is well curated and organized and there isn't an overwhelming amount of books. It's mostly popular titles or current titles and you can easily pick out books to read. They had a small seasonal section as well which I picked from. I bought 5 books each were around $5 or so which is such a good deal . I spent $27 in total. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood for a current book to read, it's much easier than browsing thrift stores and the like. The girl at the counter was also nice to boot ! Shop small and keep this gem around.

Unsure why this place has such poor reviews, because you can find some excellent books for a decent price. I'm not sure exactly how they organize, so you'll have to look a little bit. I came out with 4 books for $20, which at any bookstore would be upwards of $70. Incredibly friendly staff as well, loved this place and wish I lived around here to come back more often

Great store, selection and prices. [2022 update from original 2018 post]. I consistently come here every 2-4 weeks. They regularly rotate their inventory, and it's generally well-organized (the only disorganization happens when patrons are inconsiderate). Prices are very reasonable: porch books are typically 95¢ while inside generally ranges from $2.95 to $4.95, mostly $4.95. Popular or unique books are obviously higher. Selection varies and is always excellent (but not always the things I'm necessarily looking for). Owner and women who work there are always professional and attentive.
